For my TCG grinders, important reminder to not tie your self worth to winning.
Winning can answer:
“Am I good at this?”
It cannot permanently answer:
“Am I important?”
“Am I lovable?”
“Am I enough?”
Achievement can give you a temporary “yes” to those questions, which is why it’s so easy to become addicted to constantly supplying more evidence.
Your results can tell you something about your skill. They don’t determine your worth. ❤️

6-1 in the BO1 Qualifier Play-In with Dimir Reanimator. If anybody asks, it took me one try. Half my games ended on turn 0 to a Leyline of the Void or to someone dying on turn 1. Quality format, no notes. @fireshoes
I played Pioneer for the first time in about 2 years and made Top 8 of the challenge with Prowess. My two losses were both to the mirror. Academic Dispute is a completely broken card that will plague the format until it inevitably gets banned. @fireshoes
After playing a lot of the current modern format and talking to a lot of players that played the PT, I believe that the following cards should be banned to lower the number of non games:
Kappa Cannoneer
Kozilek’s Command
Allosaurus Rider or Summoner’s Pact
