Will BBCNI commit to securing an answer from @ChiefConPSNI about if 30 officers will be positioned prior to summer to prevent illegal bonfires & erection of flags, preparing surveillance op. so they can work thru recorded material, issue letters, interviews & charges?
The PSNI has issued an update on its investigation re Garvaghy Rd protests. ▪️30 police officers on the case ▪️70 hours of recorded material is being examined ▪️60 identified suspects ▪️18 people have been interviewed with files being prepared before submission to the PPS

Almost 30 years after Sean Brown was brutally murdered, Bridie & her family are still fighting for truth & justice. Tomorrow, the Brown family will be in the British Supreme Court in London, continuing a fight that no family should ever have been put through. The treatment of Bridie & her family by the British government has been nothing short of disgraceful. I’ll be in London to stand alongside them tomorrow & support their ongoing fight for justice. Bridie & her family have suffered enough. They deserve the full truth about Sean’s murder.

This can’t be ignored. The song envisages a world where there is no Pope, nuns, priests nor Catholic Churches. Those playing it have been invited to participate in a procession demanding an Orange parade thru a Catholic area in the town. This is BBCNI headline-worthy material.
It didnt take too long for last night's parade to show its true face. Minutes after Lockhart and senior members of Portadown walked by playing the victims, the sectarian, anti Catholic hate tune "No Pope" was given a blast. The O.O. is a hate organisation, nothing more.

BBCNI AND LOCAL POLITICAL BIAS - THE TIME HAS COME TO END THIS TRAVESTY... It's almost staggering that BBCNI has got away with this for so long... A heavily weighted bias in favour of those from a Unionist/Loyalist background. It has now frankly reached the point of almost total absurdity. Not least from the host of a Daily Radio Show, whose show now resembles one of those old illegal Loyalist Pirate Radio stations that use to broadcast during the Troubles. "Radio Free Ulster" was a Pirate Radio Station which used to broadcast from the Shankill Road in the 1980's. It has now been replicated each morning by BBC Radio Ulster. A simmering melting-pot of the very worst of political bias and incitement. Platforming individuals (many with no mandate whatsoever) who are given a stage to deliver a thinly-veiled message of malice towards another community. All of this conducted with relish every morning. Any semblance of partiality long since gone... The thousands of taxpayers here from a Nationalist background who pay for this service (including the astronomical salary of it's host) deserve much, much better. BBCNI Television also has big questions to answer in terms of it's framing & also its unbalanced highlighting of certain political events & indeed certain political parties. To be fair, there are some good journalists and broadcasters on BBCNI. Mark Carruthers, Mandy McAuley, Darran Marshall, Mark Simpson & others are people of credibility. However the direction of travel which is set by it's Director Adam Smyth is hugely questionable. His close relationship with high profile presenters is concerning. BBCNI's Annual Budget is £55 million. It is now failing in it's most basic requirement - To present shows in a professional manner with a fair & reasonable balance for people from every political background and persusion. At worst, one show in particular, is actually increasing political tensions here at a time when there is already massive political uncertainty. That is totally unacceptable and it is also totally unforgiveable. It must end and it must end now... @bbcni @bbcradioulster @bbctheview @BBCNewsNI @BBC #adamsmyth #mattbrittin @BBCNewsnight

Imagine nationalists parading and holding a rally in Derry demanding the right to parade through the unionist Fountain estate. That is an exact parallel to what the Orangemen & Unionist leadership are demanding. That mindset is *the* issue. It needs to be confronted head on.
LIVE | The cold weather hasn’t deterred crowds from gathering in Portadown’s Watson Street to support Portadown District Lodge’s Parade through the town. The parade has now begun, with 26 bands taking part. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/… belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/…

Hey @grok, is this true?? Some data centers now run on lab-grown human brain neurons derived from stem cells, wired directly to silicon chips via electrode arrays, and kept alive on life support. Fed sugar every few days. They play Doom. We don’t know if they’re conscious.

If Iain Duncan Smith really cares about truth and justice, I will ask the Court Services for permission to show him an MOD document in which his friend, Captain Robert Nairac, is accused by a fellow, serving British officer of planning and executing the Miami Showband murders.
The IRA were terrorists, not soldiers. Their campaign of murder and bombing was not a war of equals, and no amount of historical revisionism will ever make it so. Labour’s Northern Ireland Troubles Bill risks allowing the IRA to rewrite history while British veterans face the prospect of being dragged through investigations decades after serving their country. Where is the accountability for the IRA? Where are the answers from the Irish Government about those who fled across the border, the support they received and the supply of weapons? I served in the British Army. My friend, Captain Robert Nairac, was murdered by the IRA. His body has never been recovered. His family still deserves to know what happened to him and where he lies. The IRA cannot be allowed to portray its campaign of terror as justified by the Good Friday Agreement. Peace does not retrospectively legitimise murder. There is no moral equivalence between terrorists and those who served to uphold the law. This Bill is a betrayal of our veterans and of families still waiting for the truth.

Update: two banks have refused my applications to open an account. So far I have been debanked by @LloydsBank, suspended by @Revolut (awaiting appeal outcome) and banned from @PayPal. This is the price of opposing 'israel' in occupied Britain.
Replying to @LloydsBank
@LloydsBank refused to give me a reason for closing my accounts. The advisor could only submit a 'complaint' to request one. It can take 8 weeks. Meanwhile, I cannot pay my bills or access my money. I must wait for a cheque and find another bank. This is political persecution.

I can now confirm after speaking to officers; that despite a firearms risk assement from the PSNI. Negotiators who were sent into the crowd and the air support unit were not briefed of any firearms risk. They are asking me why they weren’t told if one existed. @BelTel
I can confirm, despite the PSNI assessment that dissidents may have had ready access to weapons on Garvaghy road, no surveillance was launched to follow potential weapons. There was no contact with security services and no counter terrorism specialist firearms teams were put in place at any point. Serious questions now being asked of the PSNI that if they believed weapons were on the road why they did not follow that belief @BelTel

🚨 Public backlash as Altnagelvin A&E upgrade shelved amid budget deadlock: ‘Like a prisoner of war experience’ Members of the public have shared “horrendous” experiences of long waits at Altnagelvin’s Emergency Department (ED), as it emerged upgrades will not be carried out while there is no agreement on an Executive budget. The Emergency Department (ED) was built to serve 40,000 patients a year but is currently seeing around 80,000 annually. In correspondence to a Foyle MLA, Health Minister Robbie Butler recognised “concerns expressed regarding increasing attendances, lengthy waiting times and overcrowding”. He accepted the need for “modern, fit-for-purpose” emergency care facilities. As did all political parties who were contacted. However, the health minister has also not just said that the money isn't available right now. He made clear there is “no timeline” for the project and the Western Trust would be invited to submit a new Outline Business Case “for consideration”. (Full story online. And again, sincere thanks to everyone who got in touch. Accounts shared were truly alarming. I didn't have the space to fit everything in and some I think merit being highlighted on their own because they sound so serious).

The same DUP: where a typo in a parade letter is an existential crisis of cultural warfare, but a misspelled email hiding a £30k ministerial handout to a football club is just a "whoopsie." Funny how the keyboard only slips when the money’s moving. 🤫⚽️
🚨 NEW 🚨 Education Authority chief says typo prevented email from landing after finally admitting department requested £30k for football team MLA accuses Education Minister of trying to ‘invent a mechanism’ to hand money to Richhill AFC The head of the Education Authority (EA) has provided a belated explanation about the proposed allocation of £30,000 to a football team, claiming that an email from the Department of Education was “never received” due to a typo. It comes as Education Minister Paul Givan has been accused of trying to “invent a mechanism” to award £30,000 to Co Armagh football team, Richhill AFC. I revealed that Mr Givan wanted the EA to allocate £30,000 to Richhill AFC to cover a shortfall for a pitch estimated to cost £580,000 — a team that already received a grant of £500,000 from the Government. (Comment: The department and EA are attempting to prevent me from doing my job effectively. (No response from the department on this issue since July. It has ignored every query of mines since. This from a department whose Minister recently ordered officials to boycott his scrutiny committee. An order that is believed could be unlawful if he continues to uphold it. (EA with a one-line response to this back in July and no admission until now. (FoIs facing obstruction. I'd love to know if the department treats any other journalist with such contempt. Is it because of what I have exposed in the past 2 years? (Full story available online. Along with other stories in this investigation).

This is a scandal which has not received anything like the attention it warrants. Deeply disturbing.

Hey @grok can you buy a copy of Hitlers book Mein Kampf in Britain? Just a Yes or No.
Sally Rooney's books can no longer be sold in Britain due to her support for Palestine Action. She refused to withdraw her support for the direct action group which targeted the Israeli arms industry, costing her the royalties from all of her UK sales. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

Defamation against Sally Rooney and the Irish people as a whole. This is the playbook. Conflate criticism of the illegal and immoral actions of Israel to Jewish people. This is textbook antisemitism brought to you by Sky News.

A lengthy party political broadcast by the DUP facilitated by Nolan tonight…and then we get Jim Allister. Media framing distorting the reality of the breadth of perceptions & beliefs in this society. This needs to be the focus of a sustained public discussion.

My @LloydsBank accounts have been closed down after 15 years without a single issue. No warning. No notice. Since advocating for Palestine, I have: - Lost my job - Had my medical licence suspended - Been arrested 5 times and charged And now debanked. Thank God for everything.
