The cavalry has arrived! What an awesome day in the @BrighamFellows CCU. Thanks to those who followed along and good luck to all applicants. If you ever have questions about our amazing program always feel free to reach out!
In the @BrighamFellows CCU we are constantly caring for multiple patients on MCS. Our cath lab is very active and always ready to help place Balloon pumps, Impella’s and tandems and it’s not uncommon to be managing all three up in the CCU on any given day.
One of the best parts of the CCU @BrighamFellows is getting to work with and learn from the best nurses in the hospital. Suzanne and Emily are amazing and have been teaching me since I was an intern @BrighamMedRes both about cardiac critical care and how to care for a child 😅!
Each morning in the CCU @BrighamFellows do dedicated teaching with the amazing @BrighamMedRes Housestaff. This week we’ve talked about Swans, VT storm, and choosing your pressors. today we did a hands on Zoll and POCUS tutorial using a challenging model with poor body habitus 😂
As the CCU fellow @BrighamFellows we take 1 24hr call/week on Saturdays. Other nights are covered by a nightfloat fellow covering the CCU with the housestaff. 2nd year all star @OzanUnluMD has been our guardian angel on nights this week giving me the best sign out each morning ❤️
@BrighamFellows are blessed to to rotate @BrighamWomens @MGHHeartHealth @BostonChiefs. Most fellows live in the surrounding areas but plenty live further out in the suburbs. Our family lives in a suburb called Milton so I commute by car but the drive is only 25min w/o traffic.
Morning cards peeps! Was up a tad early this morning as the little one decided to choose violence, he’s cute though so we’ll forgive him ❤️ @BrighamFellows is so supportive for parents in training so my wife (the most amazing woman/mother) and I know they got us if things come up
