Hey @PugetMattBach have you looked into this project at all? Seems pretty low level but if it gives resizable bar support to those who didn't get it officially from the motherboard manufacturer that would be great 🤔 I've never patched a BIOS before 🤣 github.com/xCuri0/ReBarUEFI

Many thanks to all who were involved in this process - now I can check out the talks that I missed in parallel and also re-hear parts I missed even in the talks I physically attended.

29 videos from EuroBSDCon 2023 have been posted. The lightning talks, .Net on FreeBSD, and FreeBSD in the land of Lemurs to add as they need a little more work. I am sure I will have them done before the week is out. Enjoy folks. youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

Phishing Links via Linktree
Below is an example from a customer who received a link to a Linktree landing page (via email).
Linktree is a legitimate service that allows individuals to create a landing page for multiple links, mainly used for displaying social media profiles in one place. But - as in our case - the landing page can be misused to place a malicious link(s) for #phishing or #malware.
As @AvananSecurity nicely described it in an interesting blog post:
"Most security services will look at the link–in this case, Linktree–and see that it's legitimate and accept the message. That's because it is legitimate." [1]
So watch out for malicious Linktree landing pages, and train your users accordingly.

Today I was knee-deep in an automation issue that required me to unearth my knowledge of udev. Goddamn udev and symlinks in /dev/disk. I thought I would never need that stuff again, but I was wrong.

Not really to, but I once had a humbling realization, that I live in a region where tap water is that good and cheap I rarely need to buy bottled water at all. Thats usually regions close enough to mountains with glaciers such as the european alps.

2 years after your tweet I can confirm the same behavior on MP 3004, IMC 3000/5500/6500 and IM 8000. - I've been told by a colleague he saw that behavior even back when Ricoh still sold devices under the Infotec brand. :-/

So apparently Ricoh photocopiers (at least the MP 4000/5000) only check their dhcp leases after a full shutdown and restart. Bouncing the interface from the switch does not help, the device _will_ retain it's old (statically defined or dhcp leased) ip.

Years ago—before I knew I had ADHD—I worked on an app dev team and when I would release a new feature, I often forgot a step or two of the process.
My co-workers were getting frustrated (and so was I).
So I mapped out every step...
Reader, it was like 57 steps.
