If you’re an ISP / Network and you have trouble navigating the inaccuracy of IP geolocation services, I’ve just published this post with my recommended best practices: blog.daknob.net/fix-ip-geolo… I welcome any feedback, info, or advice.

I spy with my little eye... Ubuntu😮 (And what looks like a Grafana dashboard at the monitor, on the top right). Nice!!!
📍#Israel: I had the chance to visit the National Geological Survey and discuss with the scientific community innovative ways 🤝 to tackle earthquake-related hazards effectively Know-how exchange 🇬🇷🇮🇱 is invaluable in facing #disasters @GreeceInTelAviv @IsraelinGreece
Looks like 9.9.9.9 has made it to Greece!
Sooo you can have however many HA ESXi Nodea you want, you'll still go down if you loose your non-HA Storage! Brought to you by a company that lost all network access because the radius vm went down and access switches couldn't authenticate clients against it...
Do. Not. Add. Your. Signatures. To. Email. Replies! Thanks, A guy trying to find info in between tons of noise...

You might still not be able to have multithreaded BGP on it but you can certainly run a Minecraft Server!
RouterOS v7.1 rc3 adds Docker (tm) compatible container support. Discussion and example here: forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic…

Sometimes I like scrolling through Dnstrails for different domains looking at what people have set up in their networks, naming schemes etc. Once in a while you run into some funny FQDNs :)
Call me weird, watching the wireless clients count and network traffic graphs climb up every morning on a network I built gets my endorphins flowing! 😅
Otherwise, on the first AP restart, it fails to find the controller.... I should mention that I then switched to a tagged, dhcp uncapable, management vlan after adopting the AP but still... the AP shouldn't have forgotten the controller address! 🤔

This is brought to you after a ton of headbanging on why the AP still showed up as disconnected when it was clearly up! What the actual fuck!!!!
*different WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? Who thought this is a nice UX?

Had to wait at this loading screen for maybe 5 minutes. Can't complain though...
So apparently Ricoh photocopiers (at least the MP 4000/5000) only check their dhcp leases after a full shutdown and restart. Bouncing the interface from the switch does not help, the device _will_ retain it's old (statically defined or dhcp leased) ip.

The "statically defined" part was a mind fart, sorry, of course it should retain it's IP if you manually defined it on its UI.
To my surprise, they do support IPv6 though, so there is that. I do have doubts on how well they have implemented SLAAC and IF DHCPv6 works. That network's upstream does not support IPv6 yet so no way to check.
