Except in practice, that's EXACTLY what it means. Otherwise a vicious mob wouldn't be finding the subject of the allegation guilty via trial by media in the court of public opinion before the evidence can even be tested in a real courtroom. Stop lying to make your absurd ideology seem more palatable and justified.
Believe women has never meant "the other party is 100% guilty" it has always meant that you treat any allegation with credibility and seriousness, you listen instead of reacting with immediate doubt and disregard. I think many of you have forgotten that this weekend.

All who doubt the guilt of the accused are thought guilty of the accused crimes.

When a woman says she didn’t consent, that’s it. Case closed. The investigation is over - let a jury decide if they believe her beyond a reasonable doubt. Women have a constitutional right of redress under the 1st Amendment. Let the jury-NOT patriarchal politics-decide. #Cornell

Believe it or not. Like it or not. Palestinian Christians exist. We have always existed. We are still here. We are part of Palestine’s past, present, and future. No denial can erase us. No narrative can make us disappear. ☦️✝️🇵🇸🇵🇸

I wonder if some want to bring stoning adulterers back because it’s Biblical.

Baptist are telling the Pope the Death Penalty is Biblical. 📖 Slavery is Biblical too….. That’s why Christ gave us a church, not a Bible left to private interpretation. 💧

Some people want us to stay silent on this because Hamas is “resistance.”
More than 20 masked Hamas gunmen took turns brutally beating and torturing Abu Hammam Jundiyya. They broke his jaw and legs and beat him so badly. His crime? Speaking out against merchants who have been taking advantage of the war and the suffering of people in Gaza to line their own pockets. Hamas collects huge sums of money from merchants in exchange for turning a blind eye to their abuses and exploitation of ordinary people in Gaza. They pay Hamas, and Hamas lets them get away with it. That's how things work in Gaza now. There are leaked audio recordings in which the merchants themselves admit to these arrangements. Also, Abu Hammam has been a vocal critic of Hamas and strongly condemned October 7, which he believes brought catastrophe upon Gaza. He has also publicly stated on several occasions that he received death threats from both Hamas security and the Al-Qassam Brigades because of his writings. Abu Hammam was released two days ago, but only after being forced to sign a pledge promising not to write about Hamas or the merchants exploiting the suffering of Gazans again.

I wish we could clone 100 of Alaa and use the new Alaas to enlighten and detoxify the "pro-Palestine" activist space.
I no longer get angry when I see people glorifying October 7 and calling it a great victory. These days, I just laugh, sometimes bitterly, and remember an old Arab saying: “The one being beaten with the stick is not the same as the one counting the blows.” And for those who took my previous posts to mean that I condemned October 7 simply because of the suffering it brought upon Gaza, or because it failed to achieve its intended goals, let me be clear: My objection is not merely to the consequences. It is also to the actions themselves. I believe wholeheartedly in the justice of the Palestinian cause and our people’s right to freedom and self-determination. But a just cause does not make every means of pursuing it justifiable. War crimes do not become acceptable simply because they are committed in the name of liberation. The justice of our cause should never be used to excuse injustice committed in its name.

it makes me so incredibly angry when women who had consensual sex with a man who later ghosted them refer to that relatively minor betrayal using the only language available to me to discuss the unspeakable horrors I experienced as a child.

‘‘demographics known to rape’’... you mean men?
Women when you tell them that drinking excessively and voluntarily snorting ketamine while being around demographics known to rape may result in rape.
