This is the official Twitter account of Kingston Borough's newest party - the Liberals. We're fighting for radical liberalism that puts local people first - not the pale imitation that currently sits in the Guildhall which is neither Liberal or Democratic.

Hi everyone. Please read my statement below about taking prominent @KingstonLibDems activist and Councillor - John Sweeney to Court for defamation
Sadly I’m left with no other option than taking him to the High Court. Cllr Sweeney has been served and accepted receipt of the High Court papers.

I’m thrilled to hear the wonderful Alan Bates has been recognised by the King for his tireless work on behalf of Sub Postmasters/mistresses.
Perhaps @EdwardJDavey will now hand back his knighthood!

New Inquiry evidence exposes further failure by LibDem leader Ed Davey, as the responsible minister at a key time in the emerging #PostOfficeScandal - when many of the worst impacts could have been stopped. So many warnings ignored.

Quite why @KingstonLibDems & @RBKConservative are rewarding themselves for a 4.99% council tax rise I don't know.
We spent longer debating the pay rise than anything else tonight. Sad state of affairs.

Kingston Council have just recommended a pay rise of 4.04% for Cllrs, but backdated to April 2022... this means that 29 ex-Cllrs will receive a one-off lump sum, as well as all sitting Councillors.
Voted thru by Lib Dems and Tories...

Anybody interested in representing #liberal at the polls, probably late 2024 or early 2025? Date depends on how long #ConservativeParty can hang on to power with zero idea how to fix #CostOfLivingCrisis #EnergyCrisis #inflation #ClimateAction
By election called in Green Lane and St James ward. It's time for liberalism in RBK, not the pale soggy incompetent bureaucracy of the Lib Dems. If you fancy being the Liberal flag bearer on 10 November please please dm.

When will Kingston’s hapless LibDem council come clean on their accounts for year ending March 2021? Something is very wrong. Their Finance Director would not turn up to Audit Committee to answer questions.
Big smell emerging from Kingston Guildhall. – at Kingston upon Thames, London
Delighted that @LibPartyRBK will be standing in Berrylands Ward in the council elections on 5th May providing liberal alternative to this failing Lib Dem council.
