With Apple’s recent changes to ads on the App Store, your product pages may now show ads for gambling apps. One of my product pages just did that 😞

The new Find interaction in iOS 16 was hell to implement well across a variety of keyboard/device configurations. There are still some edge cases that aren't handled. More about that here:

Looks like widgets continue to not have access to any privacy protected data sources in 16.1 Beta 2 (photos, calendar, reminders …).
I really hope this gets fixed soon, starting to get a fair few complaints from folks on the beta that all their widgets are busted.

Notice how the action labeled ‘3’ is shown in the ‘…’ menu two times when the action is added to the toolbar but it’s too narrow for the action to fit into the toolbar. UIKit will overflow it into the ‘…’ causing it to be displayed twice. That’s bad and I want to avoid it.

📝 Recently, we rewrote part of our Catalog example project in SwiftUI to see how far we could go and where it would bring us. In this post, we share the challenges we faced and the lessons we learned from this project. pspdfkit.com/blog/2022/rewri…

If you’re a developer (or iPadOS user!) who is excited about the new customisable toolbars in iPadOS 16 but you have concerns about where in the UI to place actions that are used less frequently, then please duplicate my feedback #WWDC22 github.com/simonbs/AppleFeed…

Customizing Obsidian on your iPad
If you own an iPad, I will show you an easy way to turn your tablet into an @obsdmd hacking machine for working with CSS, Markdown and JavaScript using @Textastic. #TfT

I've added a detailed section to Textastic's manual on how to add custom fonts.
I can recommend the free and open source iOS app FontCase, but you can also use Apple Configurator 2 on a Mac.

Textastic 9.8 with find in files support is now available on the App Store.
I've also updated the manual with a detailed description and screenshots of the new feature:

With Textastic 9.8 you will be able to search for text or regular expressions in multiple files at once.
Find in files works in Local Files, iCloud and external folders (such as Git repositories in Working Copy).
And it is fast!
I hope to release it soon.

Amazon uses the data from their storefront to make knock-offs of popular products. Down to the name and design details.
It’s truly beyond gross. Support the Good Ones like @peakdesignltd
It's wacky, it's tacky. @amazon just Basic'd the Everyday Sling and we're not even mad.
