69 years old, two knee replacements, a stroke and two bouts of cancer. He's a fucking badass for still being able to get in the ring unassisted. His chest is out, his head is up. More than can be said about anyone trying to mock him.

Great job by Fontaines D.C. with their tribute to Ax and Smash.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my teenage years, and I’m pretty sure this album’s release was when my life peaked.

This was shown on Sky Sports in July 1997. It drew 151,000 viewers the first night it was aired, and 286,000 the next day when it was replayed. Doesn’t sound a lot, but that was decent numbers for the channel.
This was a game changer at the time. 4 shoot interviews on a commercial release. A big change from "Undertaker He Buries Them Alive" and "Diesel Big Daddy Cool."

WCW Wembley Arena show drew 11,500 in 1993, based around the returning Davey Boy Smith. A year later, with Hulk Hogan headlining first WCW run in the UK, it only drew 2000. Hogan was popular in the UK, but he was an ensemble. He didnt make it popular.

You guys should really be reading the brilliant book ‘Rampage’ by Lee Herbert @LeeHAuthor which covers all this in great detail. WWF got properly big in the UK in 1991 which is when I discovered it. As said above hardly anyone had Sky pre 90s & nobody I knew did before 90.

Got to the arena at 2PM and was in the ring til doors opened practicing. I haven’t performed the Black Arrow for 8 years Something told me on this night I could make the jump. I threw my heart out in front of me and Ben caught it. Thank you Pac 💚

Everyone at AEW should feel incredibly proud. I was an absolute wreck watching Dynamite and can’t begin to imagine how difficult it must have been to put together. Heartbreaking and beautiful in equal measure: the tribute Ben deserved. RIP PAC. You were the best.
