One girl married every three seconds, that's the scale of child marriage worldwide, according to UNICEF. October 11 marks the International Day of the Girl Child, themed "End child marriage and invest in girls' rights."
Today calls for ending child marriage, however, we at Society for AIDS in Africa believed that child defilement should be ended, investing in education and legal reform, and amplifying the voices and leadership of girls everywhere.
