Turning to strangers in an elevator after ten seconds of silence and saying “So do you guys think the bird was actually for sale or no”
The Art of Play dispute sides are invested in defending their version of events. Meanwhile the original issue - did a customer feel welcome & could the moment have been handled better? - risks disappearing beneath arguments about the bird, the price, the celebrity & the backlash.

Brené Brown's "marble jar" theory of trust: every time someone keeps your confidence or shows up for you in a small way, they earn a marble. Same with leaders. Saying "trust me" in a crisis means nothing. What matters is the leader who stops to ask, "How's your mom's chemo going?"

Friendly reminder: the world is run by high agency people, not smart people. Stop consuming information and start taking insane levels of action.

Oh wow… not a single one mentioned anything about work. Now excuse me while I ball my eyes out.

The only true path to financial freedom is education.
You can start by reading "Beginner’s Guide to Investing", as Clive Thompson suggests.
The more you understand how money, stocks, bonds and other assets work, the better your ability to invest your own money & build your wealth.
If you prefer professional help, Clive says you can also ask your financial institution about their products that have little or no downside risk while still giving you some market upside.

No smartphones. No social media. No filters. Just questionable haircuts, questionable fashion, and absolutely ZERO concern that somebody might record you and post it online 40 years later. 😂
Paul Rudd no longer brings his smartphone with him to set:
“I don’t go to sets with a phone. I haven’t done that for a while now. It’s important to put it down. Anytime. They’re horrible things. I’m addicted to it like everybody else. They’re facilitating our own destruction.”
Rudd revealed that director Tom McCarthy enforced a “very strict no phones policy” on the set of their new movie “A Statement,” which he found brought his castmates closer together and made filming feel more like a play.
“The world has changed since cell phones have existed. We don’t look at each other or talk to each other quite the same way,” Rudd said. “Now, [with the phone ban], we were forced to really spend time with each other and talk. Working on a movie set in 1980, we’re dressed in a certain kind of way. It felt like, ‘Oh, yeah. I remember this. This feels like it used to feel when people sat around and spoke to one another.’”

I love this. No one should age alone and have to worry about simple things.
The raw fear of aging isn't outliving your money, it’s the quiet terror of being locked in an apartment with nobody noticing if you wake up.
At 70, Robyn Yerian drained her $150K 401(k) to build a tiny-home haven in Texas.
Rent is $450. Shared meals, doctor rides, and someone checking on you every single morning.
500+ women on the waitlist.
She risked her own security so nobody has to grow old alone. Pure grace.

You prayed too hard for peace to let somebody’s dysfunction move back in.
Sometimes the glow-up is simply learning to say, “You can’t come with me.”

What started as two young actors waiting for class became a friendship built on respect, trust and years of shared memories. Through every chapter, we’ve stood by each other and celebrated the good times. That bond has remained something I’ll always be grateful for, my friend.

My phone is on mute 100% of the time.
Because no one should be able to grab my attention whenever they want and on their schedule, not mine.
Value. Your. Time.

Want to go the distance as a leader? Stay in the zone that brings you energy.
The best thing you can bring to your team is your energy. Great leaders take responsibility for staying in their own zone and positioning other leaders to do the same.
