Property tax protest season in Texas! Does anyone know why sales data are not public? Impossible to generate good comps both for my own purposes and for the local appraisers who are basing their valuations on pretty thin information.

Did you know that PRAMS is still not collecting data at all right now? That means a permanent disruption to monitoring - a gap in data and our ability to monitor the health of moms and babies that will be there, forever, because of these disruptions
“If you cut PRAMS, this is dismantling one of the strongest tools we have to prevent maternal deaths, to reduce infant mortality and to close socioeconomic health gaps." politico.com/news/2025/05/09…

Lots of discussion over the last year of folks losing Medicaid at renewal, but unbelievably there was nothing to compare rates of coverage loss to - How many usually lose coverage when they go up for renewal? New in @JAMAHealthForum from @rebwebmy and I: jamanetwork.com/journals/jam…

Just over half of folks who lost coverage at renewal were still disenrolled 12 months out. Coverage loss is correlated with both eligibility and demographic characteristics.

We hope this baseline sense of what typically happens is useful for those doing work on unwinding and for thinking about renewal frequencies going forward! Other data suggest that about half of those who lose coverage for any reason become uninsured.
