If Musk is responsible for weakening Ukraine's defenses at this critical time, his businesses need to be excluded from any critical infrastructure in Europe. Not as a sanction, but as self-protection.

A little behind-the-scenes look at my latest visit to the BBC! 🎥 It was such a privilege to be invited back to the BBC to record another episode of AI Decoded. This time, we tackled one of the biggest questions surrounding artificial intelligence: Are we losing control of AI? From the existential risks of superintelligence to the rapid rise of autonomous AI agents, cybersecurity threats and the urgent need for better safeguards, we explored what it will take to ensure AI remains a force for good. I always enjoy these conversations, especially when they bring together different perspectives on such an important topic. Here's a little glimpse of my visit to the BBC studios, from arriving to wrapping up the recording! Thanks again to the BBC team for having me. President Zelenskyy responds to Trump’s treasonous decision to shield Russia from further economic pressure by waiving sanctions under the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, thanking the late Senator Lindsey Graham, after whom the legislation was named.
Trump signed bipartisan sanctions against Russia, then gutted them before they could take effect. He reopened Russian diesel trade despite existing sanctions, demanded Ukraine stop striking Russian refineries, and publicly attacked President Zelenskyy.

In October 2024, The WSJ reported Musk maintained regular contact with Putin and senior Kremlin official Sergei Kiriyenko. US senators raised national security concerns over these contacts, particularly given Musk’s security clearance and SpaceX’s multibillion-dollar Pentagon contracts.
Musk once declared that “Ukraine’s front line would collapse if he switched Starlink off,” before promising that “Starlink would never cut off its Ukrainian terminals or be used as a bargaining chip.”

Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. Enough is enough. President Trump should rescind the diesel deal with Russia and use the Lindsey Graham Sanctioning Russia Act to impose harsh sanctions on nations purchasing Russian energy, work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Moments ago, Russian forces bombed a residential neighborhood in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, hitting a grocery store. Three people lost their lives, and nine others, including two children, sustained injuries.

Four sources identify Elon Musk as personally proposing Starshield restrictions to Trump, while three officials trace the order to the White House. Ukraine received no warning. Its interceptor drones were disrupted as Russia launched hundreds of drones and dozens of ballistic missiles. Whether this was deliberate sabotage remains unresolved.
Elon Musk reportedly proposed restrictions that crippled Ukraine’s Starshield drone defences during Russian attacks. Other sources traced the order to the White House. The deliberate slowdown raises questions about possible sabotage of Ukraine’s defences.

Zelenskyy on Yandex bot purge: "when our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations. Because there were fewer bots."
Zelenskyy tells Warsaw forum that Ukraine honoured Trump's energy ceasefire while Russia continued bombing Ukrainian energy facilities. He also linked Ukrainian strikes on Yandex data centres to a decline in bots spreading hate and division online.

HOLY MOTHERFUCKER! 😱 The reported Trump and Putin “diesel” deal keeps getting worse. According to reports, American negotiators discussed releasing billions of dollars in frozen Russian assets, potentially reviving a proposal involving up to $100 BILLION, in exchange for a limited ceasefire in Ukraine. And much of that money is under European jurisdiction! Now imagine what else has been discussed behind closed doors. How much more is Trump willing to give Putin? What about Ukraine? What about America’s allies? What about the entire Western world? At what point does appeasing Putin become more important than defending the interests of the United States and its allies? And WHY? What the fuck is driving all of this? I don’t know. Does Putin have something on Trump? Something connected to Epstein? I have no evidence of that, but the question of why Trump would entertain concessions of this magnitude deserves serious scrutiny. Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine is defending itself. And now we’re hearing reports about potentially handing Russia access to billions in frozen assets in exchange for a limited pause in its own fucking aggression. What else is happening behind those closed doors?

Undo is the hard part, so we care most about how fast the stop happens. Ours was a silent invariant break behind a green dashboard. Stanch fires a pre-approved stop when a critical goes un-ACKed; resuming stays a human call. Shadow on ~400k rides/mo: github.com/getstanch/stanch
