As far as walkers are concerned, the fells are now free from snow. This is (probably "was" by now!) the only remaining snow at the top of Swirral Edge. There is, though, a possibility that future precipitation may be wintry over the summits - so keep watching the forecasts! Jon

Please share this info! The A592 is going to be TOTALLY closed from the top of Kirkstone Pass down to Brothers Water from Monday 6th March for 4 weeks. The only positive is that the planned major roadworks will improve the road for those of us who regularly commute along it! Jon

The Keswick to Threlkeld trail is blocked due to a tree down across the bridge east of the small tunnel. To keep people safe we've had to close the trail immediately and the closure is likely to be in place until early next week. Please take notice of barriers and signage.
