It’s great to see CEG’s new ‘Let Ready’ scheme complete at 84 Albion Street, delivering ‘plug & play’ offices. It’s a proven concept used at @KirkstallForge & gives occupiers the chance to take fully furnished suites on easy in/out all-inclusive terms > ow.ly/YGPh50G6fuB.
A huge thank you to @youcannotbendit Art Services for creating this wonderful mural of Kirkstall Forge pioneer Betty Beecroft in time for our inaugural heritage week. #aforgethroughhistory
Today marks the anniversary of the bombing of @KirkstallForge on 27th August 1942. 5 lives were lost
that night – Arthur Bedford, George Grice, George Shepherd, Walter Sutherby and George Thompson.
We will remember them. #aforgeintohistory
Fettered Forge, traditional blacksmiths, will be joining us at @KirkstallForge Heritage Open Day on 18th
September 10am – 4.30pm. They’ll be demonstrating heritage forging techniques & telling us how
forges worked in years gone by. #aforgeintohistory #HODs
@KirkstallForge will be partnering with Abbey House Museum to hear your Kirkstall memories at
our Heritage Open Day 18th Sept.
Many of these memories will then feature in 2022 exhibition, ‘Kirkstall Lives’. #aforgeintohistory #HODs @LeedsMuseums
John, his brother, Mum & Dad worked together at @KirkstallForge during the ‘60’s. We were excited to find their names recorded in ledgers held in our archive. Come have a look at these & more at our Heritage Open Day – 18th Sept 10am-4.30pm. #HODs #aforgeintohistory
