We’re really pleased that the @UKHSA Green Book has been updated to confirm that adult stem cell transplant and CAR-T patients should be offered 2 doses of the Shingrix vaccine.

Hugely proud of @bjfletcher and his amazing colleagues @EdinburghUni who developed a new glossary of #computing signs in #BSL to empower #Deaf people working in (or learning about) #tech to discuss it in their own language. A richly deserved award. Congratulations! 👋🏻👋🏻 #BDA2023
The final category of the night is 'Data for Good Initiative of the Year' (sponsored by The Dot Collective). Whittling down the nominations into ten Finalists is never easy given the popularity of this category, but we're delighted to confirm that @EdinburghUni are the Winners!

On Saturday night I was forced to leave the @premierinn Enfield, in the middle of the night. staff didn’t believe my dog was a guide dog. Despite being given proof (my ADUK, harness and lead!). Legally I do not have to provide proof. This is a thread. Get comfy.

1/x Several months ago, @katebingham2 drove the UK pandemic response. She is incredible 🦸‍♀️- thanks for your insight. But then she finished and something extraordinary happened. The Winter plan to protect the #immunocompromised was quietly dropped....😫 Why does it matter? 🤷🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️
I make my views clear in the book about how we should protect the immunocompromised with long acting antibody cocktails. Over 30 other countries now use Evusheld to protect their most vulnerable. And we don’t..?

So @RobertJenrick @theresecoffey let me tell you a story. I have just been for my covid booster. No one was wearing a mask, not even the people giving the vaccines. I told them my husband has had a stem cell transplant and who we was doing mine would need to wear a mask. 1️⃣

On the subject of Evusheld “giving a false of security”, it would be wise for @RobertJenrick to actually ask the #forgotten500k about this. Nobody understands “risk” more than those who have to live their lives with a compromised immune system.

It is morally indefensible that @trussliz has given tax cuts to the richest in our society and yet has not committed to uprating benefits by inflation, as promised by @RishiSunak.

ATTENTION❗️ We've a problem too few know about 500k immune compromised have little protection from Covid as vaccines are ineffective for them The solution is #Evusheld 32 other countries use it, UK Govt says NO Pls follow or RT to spread the word #JoinTheFight4Evusheld
