They tried to stop a North Carolina HBCU from voting and the kids said not on our watch 💪
Students from North Carolina A&T can be seen marching back to their HBCU after voting on the first day of early voting in the state.

Students @Purdue need to do this same thing now that @purduemitch and the rest of the state Republicans closed the campus polling place in West Lafayette.
Students from NC A&T (the largest HBCU) marching back from going to vote. The county closed the polling place on campus. Students marched to town to vote anyway. A&T is where @RevJJackson went to school. His legacy lives on. linkedin.com/posts/todd-simm…

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to feel watching a City game for the first time since the guilty verdict. But watching that yesterday - the smug smiles to the camera, the away fans waving cash around, the banners, chants. It's just all a hollow sham. The whole Premier League season is.
It can still be saved, just. But in truth we all know it's probably going to continue to drag for a few months at least before we get anything close to clarity.
So we'll see those scenes again and again this season because they are a great team with great players who are going to keep winning. It's just going to make such a mockery of this season.
Every goal, every celebration, every glance at the league table, you just ask yourself the same questions. What does it mean? What's the point of this all? What's the point of spending our money to watch?
Of course we will still do it and come kick-off of most games. (when City aren't playing in them), we'll probably forget about it and get caught up in what we're watching.
But then the full-time whistle will go and it will start all over again.
So many seasons/moments have been lost for millions of fans around the world already because of what they've done and this season is going to be no different. Such a shame.

Takes like this have gotten us measles, history erasure, a war in Iran, $7.00 diesel, Black women job loss, farm collapse, diarrhea lettuce, ICE murders, and Gaza being WORSE.
Everyone who did this need not complain about where we are now.
Tom Morello (@tmorello) says he didn't vote for Kamala Harris in 2024.
"I saw how the corporate Democrat sausage is made. It is worse than you think. And there is a righteous fury at the corporate-controlled, money-controlled electoral system we have that is absolutely illegitimate. And people cannot choke down voting for a candidate, I understand it, cannot choke down voting for a candidate that's responsible for what happened in Gaza. And they just, they can't do it."

The only thing left for Manchester City and Abu Dhabi is to gaslight, threaten and continue with their legal warfare. They are in so deep now with the denials it’s too late to change course. Don’t back down, double down and then lash out at everyone when you known you’ve been backed into a corner.
Hence the reported threat to pull investment out of the UK and the exertion of state to state pressure. It’s desperate stuff

New: A Florida county discovered Flock cameras along its roads that officials didn’t know were there.
No one has publicly claimed them. Who has operated them — and who has had access to their data — remains a mystery.

Indianapolis is the top contender to become a new Major League Soccer city because Hogsett pulled support for a silly 20,000-seat Indy Eleven stadium. It was obviously the right call, even if it made Ersal Ozdemir's friends and beneficiaries mad. indystar.com/story/opinion/c…

Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.

- Bought Manchester City in 2008 and invested heavily in East Manchester’s regeneration.
- Invested hundreds of millions into the Etihad Campus and surrounding East Manchester.
- Built the £200m City Football Academy on around 80 acres of former industrial land.
Remediated contaminated former industrial land and transformed it into a major sports, education and community campus.
- Created thousands of construction and employment opportunities, with significant work going to local and North West businesses.
-Built facilities supporting Manchester City’s men’s and women’s teams, academy and community programmes.
- Helped bring Connell Co-op College to the Etihad Campus, providing education for local young people.
-Contributed £3m towards public swimming facilities at East Manchester Leisure Centre.
Helped create the Beswick Hub, bringing together sport, education, health and community facilities.

-Invested in the expansion of the Etihad Stadium and continued development of the surrounding campus.
- Invested alongside partners in Co-op Live, creating a major new 23,500-capacity entertainment arena in East Manchester.
Continued investing in the wider Etihad Stadium expansion and entertainment district, representing hundreds of millions in additional investment.
-Supported City in the Community programmes helping thousands of Manchester residents through football, education, health and employability initiatives.
-Funded community football and multi-sport pitch improvements across Greater Manchester.
-Provided free football opportunities for young people through City Kicks.
-Supported programmes helping young people at risk of serious youth violence.
Supported young patients and families at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
-Created education and employability opportunities for young people through City in the Community.
-Used the Etihad Campus during COVID-19 to support NHS workers, nursing training, testing and vaccination efforts.
-Worked with Manchester City Council on employment initiatives, including jobs fairs connecting local people with employers.
Supported elite and community sport by making facilities available to athletes and sporting organisations.
-Invested in environmental improvements, biodiversity and green-space projects around the Etihad Campus.
-Donated surplus equipment and furniture from the club to community organisations in Manchester.
-And perhaps one of the most symbolic acts: Sheikh Mansour bought the 1904 FA Cup — Manchester City’s first FA Cup and the oldest surviving FA Cup trophy — at auction and arranged for it to remain on display at the National Football Museum in Manchester.
The overall result has been a transformation of the Etihad area into a major hub combining football, education, health, entertainment, employment and community facilities.
I see we are moving past denial and into the bargaining stage.

Fantastic finish from Christos Tzolis vs Serbia.
His goals catalogue at Brugge was similar to these type of finishes.
Loves to drift closer to the marker before backing off and receiving with that one yard. Fabulous movement on this occasion
Brilliant touch to create half a yard from the retreating CB and a great finish on his weaker left foot.
Hoping this can translate to his games with #AFC

Arizona Sheriff who ended the Flock camera contract in his county:
If we rely on private camera networks to continuously log the habits of innocent Americans without a warrant, we are paving the way to an AI-driven surveillance state. We must establish clear boundaries for automatic license plate readers. We cannot wait for a future Supreme Court ruling to correct AI overreach. We must protect the Fourth Amendment today.

I just wish they would get that deal settled over in the Middle East. We can't handle 2 or 3 more months. The trickle-down effect is tremendous.
Amazing what billions in farm bailouts will do, paid for of course by the blue urban areas.
