Alan Pardew banned me for writing a completely accurate story about a dressing room clash that was sourced from two players, a member of his staff and a club executive. He then lied about it to the rest of the media pack and said it was nothing to do with him.
The club withdrew its threat of legal action and we refused to apologise for publishing an accurate story.
He created the toxic atmosphere and almost got relegated in his second full season surviving on the final day. A very thin skinned individual who came up with the immortal line “this win is for Mike (Ashley)” #nufc

Whoever the journalist is here. Whatever their background or how they came to be in that room i applaud you. A masterclass in asking questions while being mocked. The rest of the room stays silent because they are watching someone impaling themselves under the lightest of scrutiny
Watching game at Wembley and it’s clear playing England in Sept when players are fresh and temperature is mild is much harder than playing them at the end of a long and gruelling PL season in heat of a foreign summer. Spain are brilliant but England really impressive too #england

Meetings are taking place at the team’s hotel in Hungary this morning as the players discuss whether they will collectively refuse to play the Nations League game as an act of protest against Israel’s actions in Gaza.

Everton got a six point penalty for one breach of PSR. Reduced from ten on appeal.
That is the starting point for any punishment dished out to Manchester City.
One breach compared to 114. Man City will appeal, it will drag on for some time yet but eventually they will be punished. It needs to be in keeping with what has come before it
