Yesterday we announced the integration of Boltz with Claude Science. One thing I wanted to take a moment to highlight was the results we got from letting Claude drive the Boltz API end-to-end, so I wanted to give a bit more detail here. A thread! 🧵

AI has transformed how we design therapeutics. But targeted delivery is still an expensive guessing game. Today @BobbyHollings and I are launching @deliverome with @beckypferdehirt and @radialscience at @AsteraInstitute, to fix that. 🧵

Today @AnthropicAI released PubMed integration for Claude. No hallucinations. Just real science, real data. As a beta tester, this has been a game changer—like having a supercharged research assistant. Here are 6 prompts that will transform how you search the literature. A 🧵

A scientist's guide to AI agents — how could they help your research? @Nature 👉 nature.com/articles/d41586-0… Enjoyed discussing this with @LizzieGibney. Great to see @ScientistTools featured, along with several ongoing projects in our group. AI agents can accelerate discovery, but their true scientific value depends on how we evaluate and test them, an open challenge for the field

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS, indeterminate dendritic cell histiocytosis or other (non-LCH) histiocytic sarcomas cases. I'm trying to understand non-surgical chemo and targeted therapy options, new pathology markers to better diagnose subtypes/treatments, and any data on progression in pediatric patients. Please feel free to share – I’m trying to cast a wide net due to the rarity of this condition and how little is known. People can contact me directly at my first name (as written in my profile) at octant.bio.

Excited to share TxGNN, a model that identifies potential therapies from existing medicines for thousands of diseases. Trained across 17,080 diseases, TxGNN predicts drug candidates for conditions with limited or no treatment options, including rare diseases @NatureMedicine paper: nature.com/articles/s41591-0… Globally, there are over 7,000 rare and undiagnosed diseases, yet only 5 to 7 percent have treatments, leaving the majority untreated or undertreated. Even for more common diseases, new drugs could offer alternatives with fewer side effects or replace drugs that are ineffective for certain patients TxGNN generates new insights on its own in the form of multi-hop interpretable rationales, applies them to diseases it was not trained for, and offers explanations for its predictions Human evaluation showed that TxGNN's predictions perform well across multiple axes of performance Many of TxGNN's predictions align with off-label prescriptions used in a large healthcare system Many thanks to a fantastic research team @KexinHuang5 @payal_chandak @WangQianwenToo @_toolazyto_ @AkhilVaidMD @jure @girish_nadkarni @BenGlicksberg @HarvardDBMI @harvardmed @KempnerInst @harvard_data @broadinstitute @cziscience @harvardmed News and Gazette: hms.harvard.edu/news/researc… Thanks @EkaterinaPeshev
