What this means is you can now quickly & easily access 43M+ cells across the data corpus for your differential expression analysis. You can compare data across 6 fields of metadata (Tissue, Cell Type, Publications, Disease, Ethnicity, and Sex) for each group you want analyze.
Away we go on #scg2023. Can’t wait to see where the field is and headed. Big thanks to @TreutleinLab for hosting and coming up w sich a brilliant graphic to show the evolution of the meeting!!
Today #CZCellxGene is releasing the R package cellxgene.census — it gives access from R to Census, the largest standardized aggregation of single-cell data, composed of 33M+ cells and 60K genes. You can easily export slices to Seurat or @Bioconductor. 🧵⬇️

Want to see the new features on #CZCellxGene in action?
Here we’re exploring the down-regulation of JUN transcription factors in specific epithelial cells from kidney disease, as supported by @humancellatlas (Lake et al).
The data is fully standardized, hosted publicly and composed of a count matrix of 33M cells (observations) by >60K genes (features) accompanied by cell and gene metadata. All cells have harmonized annotations and all gene IDs & labels are standardized on GENCODE references.
Big News🚨: #CZCellxGene Discover Census launched today! czi.co/3Nzpfsk
Built from >500 datasets, Census gives you efficient access to the largest aggregation of #SingleCell RNA data that’s immediately ready for analysis with harmonized labels for cell and gene metadata
Sorry - one more bonus tweet on this thread! a nice little video showing the feature in action. Hope you all find this insightful and fun!
First day of the @cziscience Ancestry Networks for the @humancellatlas kickoff meeting was incredible. Can’t wait for day 2. Preparing my finest conference attire for the event and the group photo!!! Representative Science is Better Science.
Continually proud and inspired by the @cziscience Rare as One and rare disease community at large. So much important work and fascinating science to be done to clarify fundamental principles and important patient need. Excited to #LightUpForRare today in honor of #RareDiseaseDay!
Excited for the start of the #HCA2021GM - it's always inspiring to see the @humancellatlas community progress and learn about future priorities. @teichlab and Aviv Regev are kicking things off w/ an overview including the incredible contributions made by HCA members on COVID.
