Chris Luxon blithely renegs on a major campaign promise- to not negotiate with the far left high taxing Opportunity party.
The National leader is in reality giving a big hint as to the real play here.
He's unhappy about losing power to NZ First and ACT and intends to insulate himself from this discomfort by bringing Opportunity into govt.
When he stresses the term "irrespective of the numbers", he is revealing an intent to forge a greater alliance with the left bloc. Based not on necessity but choice.
Why? To give him the buffer he needs to control the policy requests that might come from his two former but now much more powerful coalition partners. Or to pass legislation they will not agree to.
Like the Under16 Media Ban.
MR Luxon has IMHO always been a leftist in the wrong party. He's learnt nothing from what is (so far) a near defeat and sees the solution to his unpopularity as going further left.
The refreshed National party needs to dump this nihilistic compromiser at the first opportunity. (No pun intended).

I work in the kitchens for certain tech companies in SF. Mainly, my job is restocking food, snacks etc for employees to take as they please. Now, this all operates on an honor system. You took as much as you needed in the moment to satisfy that craving/hunger. Well after a certain group infested SF through H1B visas, I have caught people literally shoving food into their backpacks, and even taking bottles of milk, sugar, coffee, etc.
Now the owner of my company might lose her business because these tech companies are just handing out cash credits for people to buy lunch instead of offering in house food because of the abuse. 2 decade old mom&pop about to be destroyed because of a certain stingy group. The funny thing is, the few times I catch them in the act when I do a restock, they act stupid and say "It's their right to take it because they work here" (it's not). After I explain the concept of an honor system to them, they just look at me like I'm dumb.
This is what is going to happen. All the nice things we enjoy are going to be stripped away because of people who have zero care about anyone but themselves.

Remember when I said that Ukrainians need to do more to resist these kidnappings off the streets? I take all of that back.
I now realize that one of the reasons why the majority of Ukrainians don’t just rise up and overthrow their government, is they are too scared for very legitmate reasons.
They know that their own Nazi government, however unpopular, enjoys the entire might of Western civilization at its back, and covering up its massive crimes.

If the civilian building is a “military sites” then Zelensky has declared all civilian buildings as military sites. If it’s NOT a military site, then Zelensky is admitting he uses civilian homes as human shields for his military.

I was usually the ONLY WOMAN in my convoy in Afghanistan. Not only was I a military police team leader, I was the one who searched the Afghan women.
Those women told me things their husbands never would. They also told me things they wouldn't tell their husbands. They let me hold their babies and talk to their kids. These women had NO voice in that country. No rights. They were men's property.
40 months in a Muslim country taught me this: Sharia doesn't "coexist." It TAKES. And here in the USA, it will take from women FIRST.
