WWII has ended. The German forces have surrendered and a German general asks permission to give a parting address to his soldiers.
The men listen as the General's words are translated by an American soldier. Its interesting to observe the faces of the allied troops, as they slowly realise that the words of the German General apply just as well to themselves.
Then the unspoken thought arises. Have they been fighting and killing their own brothers?
The overall scene is a brilliant comment on who really suffers from wars. Its a very succinct and understated message that has more impact for the subdued manner by which it is conveyed.
IMHO a wonderful piece of screenplay.
Mr Thomas is no terrorist. This is a clear abuse of law that we are apparently powerless to prevent. What I mean when I say the left have won. Patriots & freedom fighters are engaged in a rear guard battle against an already corrupt & out of control socialist state.

Probably article 5. No reason needs to be given for the arrest and if he refuses to answer questions he is in breach of the law.
The Government appear determined to continue to bring in the illegal migrants to our country and they clearly don’t want anyone disrupting it or bringing public attention to it.

REMEMBER THIS: Pauline Hanson was jailed in 2003 after being convicted over the registration of One Nation in Queensland.
She was sentenced to three years in prison.
She was handcuffed, taken into custody, strip searched and sent to a women’s prison.
Eleven weeks later, the Queensland Court of Appeal set the convictions aside and she walked free.
Bronwyn Bishop described Hanson as a political prisoner and called the jailing unacceptable, saying Australians did not have to agree with Hanson to understand that freedom of speech was at stake.
That part of the story is too often buried.
A woman who had challenged the political establishment was humiliated, imprisoned and separated from her family before the case collapsed on appeal.
Hanson later said the experience broke her so badly that she contemplated suicide while in jail, but thoughts of her children kept her going.
That history explains why she has never stopped fighting.
For single parents.
For veterans.
For pensioners.
For Australians abandoned by the parties that pretend to speak for them.

Is Christopher Luxon New Zealand's Malcolm Turnbull? His obsession with Net Zero is costing the country a fortune in increased living costs & difficult conditions for many businesses.
There was a race based/ Marxist rebellion in the NZ parliament on Thursday.
Led by Maori party co-leader Debbie Packer. She was assisted by Labour's Willie Jackson, who referred to Packer as "our member".
So Mr Jackson regards Labour & the Maori party as one unit. Which raises the question- Is Mr Jackson a Maori party plant in Labour and pushing their radical policies into Labour's agenda?
Given the Maori party's policies that openly attack the Westminster system, voting for Labour when Willie Jackson is number 4 on their list could put NZ's democracy at considerable risk.

Maori party co-leader Debbie Packer referred to speaker Maureen Pugh as a "cxxt".
She then claimed this was OK as the word had been used before in the house.
It was of course used before, but in an entirely different context and not as a slur against another member. Let alone the speaker.
Labour MP Willie Jackson (4th on Labour's list) then confronted the speaker on her decision to expel Packer.
He was also told to leave the house but refused until he was assisted by the Sergeant at Arms.
Imagine voting in November to not only put these barbarian thugs back in our parliament, but to make them part of the govt.
No one who values our Westminster parliament could ever vote for Labour or for their Maori Party comrades.
In the cause of fairness and accuracy, I feel I need to add a note to the post above-
Debbie Packer has since said that "I would not call the Speaker that and have no need to. "I think Casey [Costello] misrepresented the facts."
Packer claims she was using the word conversationally with her colleague Oriini Kaipara. As a comparison to suggest the Speaker's criticism of Kaipara for using "bullcrap" was an over-reaction.
Given there is no written or audio record of what Packer actually said, she should have the benefit of doubt. As anyone else would be given that benefit.

Today his side needs to win the Rural and Regional Council AGM. That locks in 13 delegates who vote for President tomorrow. Giving him the numbers to win.
Senator Ruston and Blyth have had the knives out for him for some time. Quietly trying to smear him in the media.
Insiders tell me Ruston even tried to kick out a whole bunch of rural and regional members but failed.
Now they’re panicking, floating federal intervention if he wins.
There is no basis for overturning a democratic vote just because you don’t like the person who wins.

Many think Labour leader Chris Hipkins has ruled out a coalition with the radical separatists of the Maori Party. The truth is he has not.
Hipkins told a surprised Kerry Woodham on Newstalk ZB this morning that the door was still open.
So what would Hipkins have to agree to if he bought the separatists into his govt? Not all, but probably some of the following-
Abolishment of prisons by 2040,
A Treaty Ombudsman or Te Tiriti Commission with a veto over Parliament
Annual wealth tax and 5% stamp duty on residential property sales
Company tax returned from 28% to 33%.
A $220 million fund over four years for Māori-led constitutional kōrero, a secretariat, and a Māori Constitutional Convention.
The atrocious behaviour in the house yesterday by the Maori party co-leader, (Debbie "Irish" Packer) forewarns voters of what else we would be in for.
No one wanting a united cohesive sane society would ever inflict any of the ideas of the Maori Party upon the NZ people.
Even die-hard Labour supporters should think long and hard about who to vote for this election.

Finance Minister Nicola Willis is getting a lot of push back on her plans to intervene in the grocery sector.
Keith Holyoake was PM of NZ for just under 12 years, the longest period of any National Party leader. In 1959 he said-
"The National Party believes in a property-owning democracy. … We believe in the maximum degree of personal freedom and the maximum degree of individual choice for our people. We believe in the least interference necessary with individual rights, and the least possible degree of state interference."
His words aligned with the party's founding principles and were pretty much true at that time.
The National party today is led by Christopher Luxon and Nicola Willis.

Yesterday, Deputy party leader Nicola Willis made the following statement-
"There is no property right to excess profits"
It is not the same party my friends. Not at all.

In a desperate move to shore up its fast flagging party vote, the National party brains trust (meaning Willis and Luxon) have come up with an intervention into the private sector far more worthy of the Greens or Labour.
Scapegoating the supermarkets with claims of price gouging is a cheap diversion from the real issue.
Sure.... the cost of living (including grocery prices) is far too high in NZ. However, you can't mess with something so basic as electricity without massive rises in every commodity.
The rising cost of energy was always going to have this outcome and politicians have been warned about it for at least a decade.
Still the boneheaded obstinate globalist fools pressed on with their mission to cripple our industrial sector and our overall economy.
Politicians who devoted themselves to the insane globalist cause of climate change are where the finger of blame should really be pointed.
Their fanatical supplication to this cause is behind high grocery prices and so many other economic ills.
Time to un-elect every politician who stubbornly believes in the damaging and costly climate change mantra.
They are destroying our country!
Realise the so called center right needs every vote it can get this election. That includes voting for National candidates. The left as they exist today in NZ are so horrible the thought of them being in control again is frightening. It just cannot happen.
However I listened to the Nat's presser and the language was so appallingly socialist. Its hard to recommend a vote for a party that has apparently been taken over a bunch of people who hold its founding principles in utter contempt.
