We have been following the security incident affecting SecondFi closely, and our thoughts are with everyone impacted.
On scope, and to help avoid wider concern, this is an isolated issue specific to SecondFi’s own wallet software. Other wallets across the Cardano ecosystem are not affected, and at the network level Cardano continues exactly as intended - with the ledger intact and consensus producing and validating blocks without interruption.
We have also seen the community step in to investigate and support the response, a reflection of how this ecosystem rallies when it matters. That collaborative instinct is one of Cardano’s real strengths.
For those affected, however, the official @secondfiapp account remains the authoritative channel for updates on the incident, the response, and any next steps.
A reminder, incidents like this attract opportunists. Stay alert to impersonation and phishing. No legitimate party will ever ask for your seed phrase or private keys.

The van Rossem hard fork initiation governance action has been submitted on the Cardano mainnet.
An intra-era hard fork that introduces some new features and lays the foundation for the next major era, Dijkstra, which will ultimately bring Leios to Cardano mainnet.
Looking to the future, while honoring the journey here.
This hard fork is named after Cardano community member, Max van Rossem. A dedicated builder; developer, SPO, DRep, Constitutional Convention delegate, and so much more. Following Max’s untimely passing in October 2025, the Cardano community voted to dedicate this hard fork in Max’s honor in early 2026. The info action, “Name Protocol Version 11 hard fork - van Rossem”, received 83.62% DRep (and 4.44B ada) support.
A lasting dedication in memory of Max has been written within the proposal metadata. Read it below:

Attending the @linuxfoundation Open Source Summit North America 2026 reinforced an important lesson:
People are ready to learn more about blockchain.
Across conversations with developers, maintainers, and open-source leaders, we found genuine curiosity about how blockchain can help address challenges around trust, coordination, reputation, incentives, and collaboration at scale.
What stood out was not skepticism, but thoughtful questions and a willingness to explore new approaches when connected to real-world problems.
The opportunity is significant. There is a large audience eager to understand what this technology makes possible. The key is continuing to engage, listen, and build bridges between communities.
@andamio_teams is proud to be part of that effort. Thanks to @IntersectMBO and the @Cardano_CF for supporting Cardano’s presence at this event, a truly leading-edge environment for innovation. Special thanks to @Tmacqt87 for his outstanding leadership in driving this trailblazing initiative forward and positioning Cardano in spaces where real-world collaboration and adoption are shaped.
Last week was one for the Record Books! The importance of Open Source Summit by @linuxfoundation cannot be understated! Check out what each of our attendees had to say!

@gimbalabs was proud to be represented at @linuxfoundation Open Source Summit North America by our Lead Educator and Facilitator Harsha Gullapalli @HarshaGulla, sharing perspectives from years of building technical education and developer onboarding pathways within the Cardano ecosystem.
The event created space for meaningful conversations with developers and open-source leaders from around the world, opening the door to new ideas, collaborations, and opportunities to connect broader open-source communities with the work happening across Cardano.
We're grateful to be part of a global conversation about how we make contribution, learning, and participation more accessible to everyone.
A special thank you to @IntersectMBO and the @Cardano_CF for supporting this initiative and helping create opportunities for the Cardano ecosystem to engage with the broader developer community. And congratulations to @Tmacqt87 for leading the way and move this initiative forward.

Important notice for eceryone using db-sync. 🫡👇
Notice for db-sync operators
We identified a bounded issue affecting derived epoch aggregate values (epoch.out_sum and epoch.fees) in db-sync versions 13.7.0.0–13.7.0.4.
The impact is limited to reporting, analytics, accounting, and dashboard use cases relying on these aggregate values following restart or upgrade events.
Importantly:
➡️ Cardano consensus and chain operation are unaffected
➡️ Canonical chain data remains intact
➡️ No ledger state, balances, or on-chain history are impacted
➡️ Recovery is straightforward as affected values can be fully recomputed
Mitigations are available now, with a permanent fix planned for db-sync 13.7.1.0.

We just wrapped up Day 3 of the Open Source Summit here in Minneapolis, came back to the hotel to get packed and take a rest and get ready to fly home in the morning but couldn't help myself, an issue was identified where @lace_io wallets couldn't connect to UnFrack.it... so, went ahead and fixed it and released v0.0.7-beta, now with full Lace support! Happy wallets make happy degens!

Intersect's budget process is set to open on April 16, following strong DRep support (68%+) and the Constitutional Committee thresholds being met.
We received a significant amount of feedback throughout the voting period and are looking to improve the process where possible. Notably, many supporting votes also included suggested improvements, including moving away from bundling filtered proposals into single withdrawals.
From April 16 at 12pm UTC, any individual, team, or organization can propose a solution, service, or initiative that supports the Vision 2030 framework or contributes to the broader Cardano ecosystem.
These proposals will then be reviewed by the community and DReps ahead of filtering and subsequent Treasury Withdrawal governance actions.
Timeline
We've now updated the 2026 budget process timeline, covering proposal submission, review, Hydra voting, audit periods, and treasury withdrawal stages. If you're planning to submit, review, or participate this year, now is a good time to familiarize yourself with the key dates.
In the coming days, we'll share more on our role as Administrator, alongside a new Administration "hub" with clearer documentation for potential vendors who choose to use Intersect's administrator service.
