Bug Bounty Program update 🪲 The allocation for Bug Bounty rewards has now been fully committed. As a result, we’re currently unable to offer additional monetary rewards for new submissions while next steps for the program are considered. Security reports remain important and can still be submitted through the usual channels. Every report submitted is still carefully reviewed and triaged by our team of volunteers, helping ensure potential issues can be identified and addressed. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the program and continues to help strengthen the security of the ecosystem.

If you read one thing this week, make it this. Much of the work that keeps the ecosystem moving happens behind the scenes. Read in depth our special update on the work that rarely makes headlines, but makes everything else possible. If you've ever asked "Why Intersect?" 👇️ intersectmbo.org/news/inters…

We have been following the security incident affecting SecondFi closely, and our thoughts are with everyone impacted. On scope, and to help avoid wider concern, this is an isolated issue specific to SecondFi’s own wallet software. Other wallets across the Cardano ecosystem are not affected, and at the network level Cardano continues exactly as intended - with the ledger intact and consensus producing and validating blocks without interruption. We have also seen the community step in to investigate and support the response, a reflection of how this ecosystem rallies when it matters. That collaborative instinct is one of Cardano’s real strengths. For those affected, however, the official @secondfiapp account remains the authoritative channel for updates on the incident, the response, and any next steps. A reminder, incidents like this attract opportunists. Stay alert to impersonation and phishing. No legitimate party will ever ask for your seed phrase or private keys.

The van Rossem hard fork initiation governance action has been submitted on the Cardano mainnet. An intra-era hard fork that introduces some new features and lays the foundation for the next major era, Dijkstra, which will ultimately bring Leios to Cardano mainnet. Looking to the future, while honoring the journey here. This hard fork is named after Cardano community member, Max van Rossem. A dedicated builder; developer, SPO, DRep, Constitutional Convention delegate, and so much more. Following Max’s untimely passing in October 2025, the Cardano community voted to dedicate this hard fork in Max’s honor in early 2026. The info action, “Name Protocol Version 11 hard fork - van Rossem”, received 83.62% DRep (and 4.44B ada) support. A lasting dedication in memory of Max has been written within the proposal metadata. Read it below: gov.tools/governance_actions…

Did you know? Hydra github.com/cardano-scaling/h… is available under the Maintainer Retainer Program. I know Hydra is in quite a few things that we rely upon today. Be sure to apply, if you’ve got the chops, within the next week! Apply👉 tinyurl.com/MRP-Apply

Currently we are in contract negotiations (under Tooling) with Mlabs and Mesh. Other projects have not yet applied despite an open and public link.

@yutazzz @phil_uplc @ItsDave_ADA @JaromirTesar @bigpey If OSC Commits to submit an or multiples IA/GA's are you willing to allow this program to move to year 2? The ask is dependent upon delivery provided by September/October 2026 by OSC. Specifically reports on 2025 Treasury spend! If you have other questions, and there is time for us to respond, we wish to hear from you!

What would you need information wise to consider changing your vote for Intersect’s Open Source Committee?

This response was carefully hand-written, not sure what we can share to prove this..

👀 The cowboy mantra, in this case has come and gone. The Open Source Committee is built with community contributors and collaborators who believe in the established Mission: “Intersect’s Open Source Committee fosters the development and evolution of Cardano as a community-led, decentralized open-source project. Our mission is to support the growth of Cardano through community-driven decision-making. We are committed to providing tools, policies, and guidance to ensure its success, adaptability, and accessibility.” Apologies for the use of ‘fosters’ but altruistically it actually fits.
