On my numbers, after adjusting for the difficulty of their shifts, Grits-Jack-Bratt is the #1 line in the NHL in terms of xG% with at least 30 minutes of ice time.
86 different trios have spent 30+ minutes together. Gritsyuk-Hughes-Bratt rank 2nd in xG differential per 60 and xGF per 60. #NJDevils

The #NJDevils have not gotten off to the start they wanted to. Many, as a result, have cited this season as no different than the rest through three games.
However, is the process different?

Melovsky hive stand up. A lot of special teams play led to less 5v5 shot volume but Melovsky was heavily involved in play build-up and making things happen in the offensive zone. He was arguably the most consistently dangerous player the #NJDevils had.

The #NJDevils, on paper, are poised to get back to the identity that made them so successful in 2022-23. Some post-practice quotes have me hopeful the systems will mirror that identity.

The #NJDevils are slated to lose a player when Samu Salminen’s rights expire next Saturday.
They could profit from a couple other organizations’ departures, though. My latest for @InfernalAccess, unlocked for everyone:

One area the #NJDevils got killed in last year was in their fringe-NHL depth. Far too often did their call-ups look like fish out of water.
They’ve solved that issue on paper. My latest for @InfernalAccess ⬇️

It’s been an undeniably busy offseason for the #NJDevils, and they’ve objectively improved their roster quite a bit.
How does it compare to the rest of the Metro, though? Checking in on the rest of the division in my latest for @InfernalAccess ⬇️
