Throwing Poirier to the wolves against Colorado doesn’t make much sense but there are a couple good schedule spots for the #NJDevils later this week:
Thursday vs. Anaheim (3 in 4 for the Ducks)
Saturday vs. Los Angeles (winless, 31st in scoring)
The #NJDevils rank 27th in SV% and both Jake Allen and Nico Daws have struggled in terms of GSAx.
With the team's schedule set to toughen, Sheldon Keefe would be smart to give Remi Poirier a look sooner rather than later.

On my numbers, after adjusting for the difficulty of their shifts, Grits-Jack-Bratt is the #1 line in the NHL in terms of xG% with at least 30 minutes of ice time.

The Senators have put a lot on Ullmark's play due to injuries to Sanderson, Eklund, Zub, etc.
He has answered the bell and then some but this level of play is not sustainable.

Keefe played Hughes and Hischier a lot more in previous preseasons than this year.

Melovsky hive stand up. A lot of special teams play led to less 5v5 shot volume but Melovsky was heavily involved in play build-up and making things happen in the offensive zone. He was arguably the most consistently dangerous player the #NJDevils had.
