I've been really curious about this too. Market sentiment manipulation perhaps? Someone who has sold HOT short and is trying to make a buck when price drops?

I'm not sure I am following close enough to make valid judgments, but I'll summarize my general assessment here: * I think this rethinking of technological design principles is very useful and sound, as far as I can determine it; in that sense, I think it is a great project, worthy of support * but in terms of real world impact and even development, it has under-delivered for quite a long time now; there seems to be huge problems in execution; and I have no idea to what factors that is due * the less perfectly thought out alternatives however, like say Ethereum, and it's blockchain-based infrastructure, has been thriving and rather substantially used * historically speaking, it is rarely the 'best' systems which have thrived, but the more pragmatically flexible ones, better adapting to the contradictions of the world 'as is'. Less integrated, coherent, patchwork-adaptable systems more frequently rule the roost. So we must follow Holochain sympathetically, and even support it to varying degrees, while not losing sight of what is actually happening on the ground in terms of new infrastructure development. And very largely, Holochain is a very marginal player in that 'real' space. If Holochain is at present a drop in the ocean, Ethereum is already a rivulet in a Tibetan mountain pass, more realistic in reaching the Ganges plain <g>. But by all means, Holochain hopefully will continue its own path of development , and may one day be exactly what humanity needs.
