and at every table where education decisions are made.
Because right now, we’re making policies for classrooms
without the people who actually live in them.
You wouldn’t design a hospital system without doctors.
You wouldn’t build a plane without pilots.
But in education…

The number of instructional days that are permanently lost due to field trips, college fairs, sporting events, etc is way too high. Extracurricular activities that encroach on the academic calendar and bell schedule are no longer extracurricular. It turns school into summer camp.

One of the worst things we did to education was make digital gradebooks available to students 24/7 😅 Istg a student emails me every time their grade drops even half a percent and I’m like “Can you chill out?!”
