My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Dr Michael Mosley. What an absolute tragedy. I spoke to him following a program he made on sleep. He was incredibly generous with his time - seemed like a genuinely lovely man.

GET PHOTO ID FOR YOUR VOTE TODAY
If you cannot easily get photo ID in time - for example if you are a younger person without a passport or driving license - then you can register for a POSTAL VOTE INSTEAD, this does not need photo ID, just NI number.

Remember the rules on photo ID introduced by the current govt mean ONLY people aged >60 can use travel cards, bus passes etc to vote.
If you are a young person you CANNOT use your photo travel card or bus pass as photo ID to vote.

The law is as follows.
1. You can register at home AND at your term-time address, if that's more convenient for you.
2. You can CHOOSE on the day where to vote.
3. But you can ONLY legally vote in ONE place on the day.

Nothing like having to come to maternity for a scan when you are not a maternity patient. I am fortunate that it’s not such an issue for me these days but reminded of how bloody horrible it is to come to a maternity unit for other reasons. It’s as insensitive as hell.
