I switched to the new @Grok subscription plan. Seems like a no-brainer because it includes more and still costs less than my premium+ did. What's the point of computers if you can't have a little fun? I had @Grok create a Ruby command line program that uses my local "SI" to quickly change any image however I ask. And by quickly, I mean however long it takes for me to type the command. Plus about a minute to do it.

I couldn't help myself. I wanted to get a local model running on my machine. I am now 99% convinced that I will never endure any manual messing around with looking up error messages and typing in commands. I typed one sentence into my @grok TUI, and it figured out the whole thing in minutes! 9m38s to be exact, which included the download of the model weights. Yeah, it's only running an "8b" model, but previously everything was telling me even this would be practically impossible on my aging AMD GPU.
