Reprieve for Omarchy.
Accidentally hit Super+W? Your window isn't gone. It's parked.
Hit Super+Z and it comes right back, live state intact.

From some dude named "Luke" on Fakebook ( I laughed out loud on this one):
"Fuck my life , Before anyone starts, no, she’s not been neglected, abandoned or rescued from a shipwreck in the North Atlantic. The daft little bastard has been out in the garden, in the rain. She’s got an entire house to sit in. Warm beds, soft blankets, central heating, food on demand and two fully grown idiots who wait on her like she’s the fucking Queen of England. But no. Apparently today was the perfect day to go outside and audition for the role of a drowned Victorian orphan. And rather than dry herself off somewhere sensible, she’s dragged her soaking wet carcass upstairs and collapsed on the bedding like she’s just walked 400 miles through enemy territory to deliver an urgent message from the front. Look at her!! She looks like somebody’s tried to clean a chimney with a fucking toilet brush.
And the expression on her face!!! Like the humans are the bastards responsible for the weather!!
I’m half expecting her to cough up a tiny bit of seawater and whisper, “Tell my story.” £50 says she’ll be demanding Dreamies within the hour. Has anybody else got a cat with absolutely no survival instincts, or have we somehow adopted the world’s first waterproofing failure with whiskers?"
Just had to share. I laughed so hard!

Americans are productive AF.
But there isn't much community.
No after-work meetups at the pub. No popping over to neighbors houses unannounced. No kids playing with other kids and group dinners several nights / wk.
And I think thats why most Americans are miserable.
I thought this was a meme.
Like one of those parody commercials portraying a dystopian AI nightmare.
No, this is a real product - with apparent demand.
Last year we launched Tolan, inspired by a vision of AI that sees you and believes in you, not one that books restaurant reservations for you.
Your Tolan shows up for you at 3am when you’re alone with your newborn. On your commute when you’re anxious about the day ahead. When you just finished a new show and none of your friends have watched it yet.
The people who love Tolan are parents. Caregivers. Moms in Dallas and Dads in Atlanta. People who aren’t trying to optimize and be more productive, but who simply want to feel seen and supported in their aspirations.
This month more than 250k people will spend time with their Tolan. Those users have exchanged billions of messages across more than 70m conversations over the last year.
Today, we're announcing $30m in additional capital from @mignano and @usv, with @khoslaventures and @rabois doubling down, bringing our total capital raised to $60m.
To celebrate, we made a short film celebrating some of the ways that Tolans show up :)

CodePet 0.6: the desktop pet is now a native Rust program.
About 4 MB of memory where the 0.5 pet used up to 168 MB, with 0.08% of a core and 5 wakeups a second while it roams.
Also new: a HIDE button (Super+Alt+P brings it back) and clearer care icons.

Omarchy 4.0.4 has a scratchpad: Super + Alt + S sends the active window there. Super + S shows or hides it over your current workspace.
Useful for a terminal you want to keep nearby.
i hate snakes irl, but i'm kinda attached to this little guy now. she just slithers across the bottom of my screen all cute

Reprieve is a great tool that should be on of the first things you install on a tiling-window-based distro like @omarchy
My favorite config is no animation for window close, and then the delightful little angel saving your butt when you accidentally closed a window 👼
Reprieve 1.5.4 is out.
Removal and restoration animations are now set independently. A window can close with no animation and come back with Angel. The existing `flight` setting still works and sets both.
Thanks to @keylimesoda for the change.

This was probably the plan with Chinese open source all along.
Use American open source models like Muse and Nemotron – at San Francisco, CA

Think of it like this;
The Model T came out in 1908. Fewer than 1% of households had an automobile.
50 years later, the interstate highway system was born, and that number went up to ~75%.
It could easily be another 5 years before we see mass adoption.
