🚨 UPDATE: Canadian Army Range Officer, Major Vijanyagar Singh, has confirmed that the artillery shell PFC Gupta fired was carried by the dry 70 mph winds to a natural gas well adjacent to the ammo depot, where 300 troops were being housed.
Hospitals across Alberta, Canada are reportedly being overwhelmed by the number of injured from the ongoing major fire at CFB Wainwright, the cause and extent of which is still unknown, with details being kept very quiet by the Canadian Ministry of National Defense. Some sources place the number of dead in the dozens with hundreds of injuries, though nothing has been verified by officials in Canada.

Congratulations Vancouver on choosing this man as your top pick for City Councillor. This city is most certainly on the right track. Shame on the media for ignoring his horrid past, and shame on citizens who choose to remain uninformed. #vanpoli

Remember when Portland and Seattle were nice cities? Then they elected Far-Left lunatics, and everything went to 💩. Well, that just happened to Vancouver.

Remind me again who Mark Carney is representing? Before he became Prime Minister he was chair of Brookfield Asset Management. He walked away with millions in stock options and deferred units, parked them in a blind trust, and still has to recuse himself from anything involving more than 100 Brookfield-linked companies. While Canadians deal with high costs, weak job numbers, and slow growth, Brookfield keeps doing what it does best… Looking after its own returns. The priorities look pretty clear. #cdnpoli

It’s incredible watching Canada speedrun the exact opposite of American immigration policy over the last year or so, after we were originally led to believe that Carney would be far more restrictive than Trudeau was. We’re about to witness the most insane A/B test of all time between a nation that is trying to bring itself back from the brink vs one that is actively trying to become a colony of India.

💥SCANDALOUS: Minister Lena Diab quietly announced—at a closed-door, non-televised press conference—that IRCC removed the only safeguard protecting Canadian jobs from foreign replacement—without debate, a vote, or a bill. Canada has officially slid into a dictatorship.

Prior to 2015 one could argue that Canada had one of the best structured immigration system in the world, albeit a slow one. Back then it catered to those that could fill a position in Canada within the most in need skilled occupations. Oddly, flipping burgers, loading the shelves of a grocery store or delivering Pizza's didn't qualify! Our application process started Feb 2010. The process was slow. It took three years. We were approved Jan 2013 and arrived Feb 2013. For the application we had to prove our English or French language skills. Provide a history of where we had resided since age 18. Provide proof of education, with certification, and list which schools we attended. Provide a CV with history of previous employment. Provide references and contact details of previous employers to support our skilled workers application. Take a medical to prove we were fit and healthy. Provide proof of vaccination status. Provide a police record for any countries we had resided in since age 18. Provide proof of funds to support ourselves in Canada until we could get a job. There was a points system in place. I seem to recall that applicants needed minimum of 70 points out of a possible 100. The Liberals totally ruined the whole process by allowing mass influx of unqualified , unvetted immigrants into the country. Now we are supposed to believe that they are the ones that can fix the problem they caused.
Lena Diab, after announcing yet another Express Entry tweak to keep the permanent resident pipeline flowing for high-wage jobs (while dropping LMIA requirements for some of them): Opens by talking about how she flew in late last night, turned on the TV, and saw Prime Minister Carney — “a proud prime minister, a proud Canadian, but also a proud Albertan, somebody who was born in that province.” 🤦‍♂️ Then: “If you’re asking me about the questions in relation to immigration, we’re already doing [it]. We’re already doing what those questions are saying… We are in control of immigration… We are seeing results… asylum numbers are down 69%. Temporary workers are down 59%… reliance on the low wage temporary foreign worker is way down… companies even put signs and doing a lot more to hire Canadians… prepared to give Alberta immigration powers if this succeeds the referendum… we will continue jointly with all provinces… to make sure that we have the best immigration system in the world.” Translation: “Numbers of new arrivals are down from the 2024 peak (true on the narrowest of stats), so everything is fine, we’re already doing the thing, Carney is an Albertan, and also maybe Alberta can have powers later. Now watch us boost points for high-wage occupations and ease job-offer rules. You’re welcome.” Word salad with a side of “trust us” like you did through the Trudeau years. The incompetence is baked in with @LenaMetlegeDiab

‼️ MAJOR BREAKING: I am being investigated by the police. Not in Canada. IN INDIA. Along with nearly 3 dozen other accounts. For “defamation”. Under Indian law. Over a post made in Canada. Related to OSAP. In Ontario. A foreign government thinks it can police what Canadians say on Canadian soil. Will our own government denounce this?

BREAKING: Canada is making it EASIER for foreign workers to get Citizenship and "high-wage" jobs in Canada. They're doubling down on handing out citizenship like candy. New Express Entry rules starting November 3 will award extra points for Canadian work experience or a job offer in a high-wage occupation — and in many cases, a Labour Market Impact Assessment will no longer be required for those points. The government says this targets top talent for economic growth. In practice, it makes it easier for temporary workers to convert a job offer into permanent residency, the key step before citizenship. The changes MEAN lower barriers for immigrants already here to lock in status and stay permanently.

A Tale of Two Healthcare Systems American healthcare is so expensive that it's driven folks to rob banks to pay for coverage (Brian Randolph). It's even driven cats to murder (Luigi Mangione). 79 million Americans have medical bill debt, with 20 million owing more than $ 1,000. But on the flip side, there is the Canadian healthcare system, with universal coverage funded by the government. But that comes with its own trade-offs that you can't appreciate until it's held up to ours. When a government pays for everything, the cost doesn't go away. Instead, the ability to provide an adequate supply to meet the demand does. The American system is a crisis of affordability; the Canadian system is a crisis of rationing Watching Broken Country, the documentary by Canadian filmmaker Mira Metter and @mjwerry about some of the social issues Canada is facing, has put this into perspective. For my American audience, here are some things to consider that we don't have to deal with. My Canadian audience, chime in if the following reflects your experience. -Death by wait time: From 2023-2024, over 15,000 Canadians died while on a waitlist for scheduled surgeries or diagnostic scans like MRIs. -Emergency room gridlock: The median wait time for a patient admitted to a Canadian ER is 16 hours. 1 in 10 will wait over 48 hours just to get a bed on a ward. -Not enough beds: Canada has just 2.5 hospital beds per 1,000 people. The global OECD average is 4.2. -Hospitals packed past capacity: 85% occupancy is the international safety benchmark; Canadian hospitals routinely run at 100% to 106% capacity. Healthcare is expensive here in the States, but you can get seen fairly quickly. If you need an MRI for a torn ligament or an urgent oncology consult, you can generally get it within days or weeks. In Canada, getting a routine specialist appointment or a non-emergency ultrasound routinely takes six months to a year. In fact, Canadians with the cash frequently cross the border to the U.S., paying entirely out of pocket just to bypass their own system’s lethargy. They can’t just pay cash to jump the line back home; while the federal Canada Health Act doesn't explicitly ban private care, it penalizes provinces that allow it. To protect their federal funding, individual provinces have passed strict laws that effectively outlaw private billing for medically necessary procedures, leaving patients with no domestic alternatives. The relationship between fast and free healthcare is not so mutually exclusive in other countries. It just happens that two of the world's greatest extremes share a border. Watching this documentary has been fascinating. I highly recommend you check out Broken Country—especially if you're a Canadian. brokencountry.com/

Canada's Mass Immigration (2017 to 2025) was the worst economic policy decision in Canadian history. It was NOT progressive; it was, in fact, extremely REGRESSIVE. It transferred wealth and market power: ➡️from the Young to the Old, ➡️from the Poor to the Rich, ➡️from Labour to Corporations, and ➡️from the Renter Class to the Owner Class. Prior to 2015, immigration to Canada was high and focused on high-skilled, high-wage labour. In 2015, THIS government CHANGED the RULES, which shifted the focus to low-skilled, low-wage labour. This hurt the job prospects of young Canadians entering the labour market, put downward pressure on wages and lowered Canada's productivity. ➡️bankofcanada.ca/2025/05/staf…) It also increased housing costs, particularly for renters, who tend to be poorer and younger. ➡️bankofcanada.ca/publications… In short, it was horrific for the youngest, poorest and most vulnerable in our society. Never mind the social upheaval it caused. Now that Job Vacancies have normalized and rents are falling, this government is floating the idea of raising immigration. It is outrageous. Worse, it is, again, being pitched as progressive when it is not. It hurts the Working Class; Bernie Sanders was right...youtu.be/vf-k6qOfXz0 The only thing that will improve the standard of living for working-class people is productivity growth. That's it.
