Eight endangered buildings designed by Black architects are receiving $1.55 million to protect and maintain their historic modern architecture, ensuring they’re preserved for future generations.
In collaboration with the @SavingPlaces's African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, we’re proud to announce this third round of funding as part of the Conserving Black Modernism initiative (which brings the total investment to $4.65 million).

We have partnered with @INTACHIndia to offer a training course in India addressing the region’s growing needs in modern architecture conservation. The course will introduce participants to a broad range of issues related to the conservation of modern architecture, with a focus on case studies to offer practical and technical skills. This program consists of four weeks of online teaching and one week in Ahmedabad, where @CEPTUniversity1 will be our knowledge partner.
The course is designed for professionals engaged in or interested in modern heritage conservation, including architects, planners, engineers, conservator-restorers, policymakers, site managers, advocates, and related occupations. International applicants are welcome, but preference will be given to participants from the Indian subcontinent: India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
