MN soybean farmers appreciate @WhiteHouse, @SecRollins & @epaleezeldin for protecting domestic biofuel demand. We also thank our biofuel champions in Congress for standing with farmers! We now urge EPA to move quickly to ensure 100% of these additional exemptions are reallocated.

I appreciate the @EPA’s proposal to reallocate SRE volumes following today’s announcement.
This would ensure exemptions don’t fall on our farmers.
It's simple: Farmers need more domestic markets, and families deserve the lower prices biofuels provide.
Through today’s Small Refinery decision, the Trump Admin delivered a massive WIN-WIN for America's farmers and small refineries! epa.gov/newsreleases/epa-ann…

I'm disappointed by the number of biofuel exemptions granted at a time when oil companies are posting record profits, but glad that the Administration listened to concerns and required that 100% of the waived gallons be reallocated to larger refiners.
MO farmers and the biofuels industry need market certainty, and hardworking families need relief at the pump, which is why I'm urging the EPA to move quickly before the end of October.

I’m concerned about any proposal that weakens the RFS, reduces biofuel volumes, and harms Iowa farmers
With farmers facing low prices and high input costs, we should be increasing the use of lower-cost, American-made biofuels, not granting more exemptions #IowaAg

Strong biofuel policy creates real demand for the soybeans we grow and supports rural communities across the country. We need to protect that demand and keep it moving forward to protect our farms and future generations.

“The misguided proposal to expand small refinery exemptions would deliver yet another gut punch to Iowa farmers and is just a handout to Big Oil. Iowa farmers are already hurting from the tariffs that wrecked their markets, the $20 billion bailout to Argentina, the Middle East war that has made diesel and fertilizer more expensive, and last week’s beef deal that will flood the market with foreign products and undercut Iowa’s cattlemen. It’s simple: the impending SRE expansion would crush Iowa farmers to give Big Oil a payday. As Iowa’s next U.S. Senator, I will always fight for Iowa’s farmers, and I’ll work with anyone to deliver for our state."

In a letter to President Trump, biofuel and ag groups today urged the administration to reject proposals for expansive small refinery exemptions (SREs) for the 2025 compliance year under the federal Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), warning that reducing blending volumes through the use of SREs "will destroy the biofuel demand that is now working to restore the rural economy and reduce fuel costs for drivers." #RFS #biofuel #ethanol #biodiesel #renewablediesel #SAF #renewablefuel #OOTT #OOAT

"The EPA's Set 2 RVO presented a reasonable approach to restoring much of the renewable fuel volume lost to SREs granted in recent years. But if EPA grants an amount of SREs well above the amount projected in the Set 2 RVO, it will decimate the demand signal that the Set 2 rule was designed to create," the groups said.

You don’t lower gas prices by taking American-made biofuel off the market.
These exemptions will crush demand for Iowa corn and soybeans while padding the pockets of refiners already making record profits 👇

The Trump administration has made important progress in strengthening biofuels to help Nebraska's producers. Expanding small refinery exemptions now would put that progress at risk. We’ve seen the consequences before; producers were hurt and gas prices went UP. I’m urging the administration not to issue new exemptions.

🚨 Soybean farmers could lose $1 billion in revenue if the administration exempts more oil refineries from the Renewable Fuel Standard.
The RFS requires oil companies to blend increasing amounts of biofuel into the nation’s fuel supply, creating demand for soybean oil and, in turn, soybeans.
Reports indicate a historic number of refineries could be exempted from those requirements, destroying more than 300 million bushels of soybean demand, nearly half of Iowa’s soybean crop. 📉
ISA is urging the Trump administration to reject expanded small refinery exemptions that will reduce biofuel demand and hurt soybean farmers.
