The students in Dr. Frith’s EDS 342 course have been busy! Each team researched one of the core pillars of literacy. They then designed and led a collaborative presentation and a hands-on activity to teach their classmates what they learned.

You train people how to treat you. That starts from the very beginning while dating.
Don't let things go, minimize issues, or promise yourself you'll address it eventually (you won't).
Respect and boundaries from the beginning. Always.

Need a scale to measure knowledge of #dyslexia (including basic literacy concepts)? We developed 1 and validated it rdcu.be/fjtec. The data were convincing. @DyslexiaIDA @reading_league @ILAToday @mtssassociation @UFLiteracy @UF_COE @nasponline @TED_CEC @CECMembership

A report about Phonological Awareness Screener Test (PAST) had mean correlation between PAST and spelling r = .46, PA segmenting r = .20, and PA blending r =.45 (r = .80 is acceptable criterion validity). PAST is not a good measure @reading_league @ILAToday @nasponline

On 2/19 I spent the afternoon presenting “Deep Dive into the Dyslexia Handbook” for the @monmouth_soe Special Services Academy. Presenting to a room full of admin/CST with my co-presenter, Amy Wallace, & joined by some of my LDT-C graduates, was a highlight of the semester!
