They wanted no Jewish state at all. When the surrounding armies invaded in 1948 and again in 1967, they said so out loud. Drive them into the sea. No peace, no recognition, no talks. Jordan and Egypt sat on the West Bank and Gaza for nineteen years and never built the Palestinian state the slogan now pretends was stolen. Israel left Gaza in 2005 without a deal. What arrived was not a port and a government. It was a launch pad and a movement that still writes Jewish disappearance into its charter.
