We are proud of our network for providing support and harbor to the @paidleaveforall campaign for a Family Friendly Economy, Time & Money Bus Tour! Please get on out there and share your stories and support the movement for paid leave, child care, and an economy that works for all of us. Kudos to Michigan network member @motheringjustice, and our members in Pennsylvania: @childrenfirstpa, @maternitycarecoalition, and the @wgfpa. Thanks to @jordanaharris and @senatorcollett for showing up to support the #PaidLeaveforAll campaign and our mission to bring about a family friendly economy!

Latinas need to work up to October 8 -- that's an extra 10 months -- in order to earn what their white male counterpart (with same the qualifications) earned last year. That is not equal pay! It’s bad enough that Latina workers are paid less than their counterparts, most can’t take a paid sick day or #paidleave. Pay disparity keeps Latinx families in poverty and working twice as hard to make ends meet. It's time for equal pay in America! #LatinaEqualPay #Trabajadoras

Care policy in action also means time to cope and recover from all health emergencies -- not just child birth. 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 Congrats to our network members, Family Forward/For All Families Oregon, their coalitions, and Oregonians for securing #PaidLeaveforAll in their state 🧡 kcby.com/news/local/paid-lea…

Congratulations California! Thanks to our network members @workfamilyca and their partners. 💝
SB 1149 (@SenMariaEDurazo) Bereavement Leave for Chosen or Extended Family was signed by @CAgovernor! This bill updated CA's existing bereavement leave law that allowed workers to take 5 unpaid days off to grieve. We are excited for this law to go into effect January 1, 2027!

#BackToSchool can also mean getting the call: your child is sick. Too many caregivers fear answering because missing work to care for a child can mean losing pay--or even a job. It doesn’t have to be this way. Everyone deserves access to a #PaidSickDay policy.

NEW report: Nationwide, more than 29 million employees have no paid holidays off. US law provides no paid holidays, no paid family leave—no paid time off. But there are proposals in Congress to change that. Read more at PaidLeaveForAll.org.

Rest in power, Gloria Steinem, a lifelong advocate for working women who dedicated her life to fighting for women’s equality, equal pay and respect on the job. We’re grateful for her lifetime of courage, leadership and commitment to making the world better for women everywhere.

“Our nation has lost an iconic voice, and our movement has lost an extraordinary partner. Gloria Steinem understood that valuing caregiving and enabling people to be good providers and good family members is key to achieving racial, gender, and economic equity... We are deeply grateful that she stood with and inspired our movement.” -Gayle Goldin, Family Values @ Work familyvaluesatwork.org/famil…

You shouldn't have to need paid time to care for yourself or loved ones to support policies that allow everyone doing the same -- just sayin' 😕 snopes.com/fact-check/mitch-…

We are not surprised more dads are taking leave to care for their children. Dads (and everyone else) also need time to care for their partners, siblings, parents, loved ones, and themselves. It's time to make paid leave more accessible to ALL. the74million.org/zero2eight/…
