AMMI Canada, supported by funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada, is proud to introduce the Canadian Antibiotic Treatment Guidance, a national resource providing empiric treatment recommendations for common infectious syndromes. This initiative supports Canada’s Pan-Canadian Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance (2023–2027) —helping prescribers make evidence-based, stewardship-driven antibiotic choices.
Developed using the GRADE-ADOLOPMENT framework, the guidance integrates WHO recommendations and other global best practices to ensure judicious antibiotic use across Canada.
