Professionally organised firework displays are much safer to attend than having a firework display at home. If you are thinking about organising a home display, think carefully, plan carefully and follow the Firework Code northyorksfire.gov.uk/your-s… #FireWorkSafety

If you’re planning a firework display at home think about where you’re going to buy the fireworks. Social media, markets or pubs, are not a safe place to make your purchase, so make sure that you visit a reputable retailer #FireworkSafety

Many thanks to the brilliant White Watch at Acomb, York for a powerful road safety talk and rescue demonstration to St Peter's 6th former today. If even one student drives a little more carefully, it was worth getting soaked and all the risk assessments! @FireAcomb @stpetersyork
