So I got this given to me today by the lovely lady from Bristol Uniforms who comes up to
@NorthYorksFire
to measure up our new recruits. Two weeks to knit she told me. Why.....because I am always nice to her. Chuffed.
We have been at @Morrisons #Acomb this evening offering advice on how to keep #safeandwell
If you would us to visit you at home to give you some help & advice then please click the link and fill in your details.

On Sunday, Acomb & York fire crews attended a kitchen fire, caused by an unattended chip pan.
If you must use one:
Never fill more than a third full
Never leave unattended
Never use water if on fire
Or you could just use a deep fat fryer, oven chips or go to the chippy! – at York, England
82% of drivers say they never check their phone for texts, calls or social media while driving according to @TheRAC_UK.

Professionally organised firework displays are much safer to attend than having a firework display at home. If you are thinking about organising a home display, think carefully, plan carefully and follow the Firework Code northyorksfire.gov.uk/your-s… #FireWorkSafety

If you’re planning a firework display at home think about where you’re going to buy the fireworks. Social media, markets or pubs, are not a safe place to make your purchase, so make sure that you visit a reputable retailer #FireworkSafety
On Wednesday Acomb Blue watch payed a visit to @BurtonG_Primary school to show @BG_Hedgehogs our fire engine and equipment, we think they enjoyed it despite the rain..
We learned so much about Firefighters thanks to a visit from @AcombFire this morning! We asked lots of questions and learned lots about the equipment they need and the kinds of jobs they do. What an exciting morning! 🦔

Planning a trip out to make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend? Take care if you'll be near open water and don't be tempted to have a BBQ or fire on grass or moorland. #RespectTheWater #BeMoreAware
