Available now on Amazon my new book The Square. A stand alone sequel to The Allotments, once again set in North Yorkshire, its fast moving, funny, heart warming, but with added murder! See if you can solve it before Josie does jeanillingworthauthor.com/

My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine who were just living their everyday lives, harming no one. Now they must run & hide, leave behind loved ones, search for food & water, shelter from falling bombs & bullets, see their lives & dreams, cities & culture destroyed. Such evil.
I've finished writing The Square, a murder mystery set within a North Yorkshire town, which has been great fun to write. Set 4 years later, it has some of my favourite 'friends' from The Allotments & a few new ones - a story of new beginnings & old scores, community - and murder.
Wishing all our dear friends, family and kind followers a lovely, relaxing Christmas, and a happy, safe and healthy new year.
ALT Disastrous school nativity play - drawing by Jamie Illingworth from Danny's Christmas.
Absolutely delighted to receive this handwritten note from national treasure Sir David Attenborough. Made my day, no, made my year- what an absolute privilege. I just hope he likes the book (Two Degrees) now!
