i find this pretty funny the M4 iPad Pro with 8GB RAM actually shipped with 12GB RAM, which we found out through teardowns, Apple never acknowledged it and still only let you use 8GB RAM fast forward to 2026, Apple releases a more powerful on device Apple Intelligence model that requires a minimum of 12GB RAM, which won't run on the base model M4 iPad Pro cause it has "8GB RAM", even if the underlying hardware had 12GB RAM make it make sense Apple

In May 2025 I purchased the parts to build my local Proxmox Home Server. At the time I decided to start with 64 GB RAM. Little I knew I was soon going to regret that decision... Below you can see how much I paid USD 189 per module now USD 2857 the same module. Please make it make sense 😥

The ultimate ADHD career is getting paid an obscene amount of money to walk into a disaster, somehow figure out the one solution nobody else saw, fix everything in 20 minutes, and disappear before anyone asks you to document your process.

turns out it classifies what audio it hears, before reporting back to samsung. sensor preferences, dog-barking and baby-crying event counters, and camera streaming duration are built into telemetry paths.
this is pretty evil and clever. so if your samsung TV model doesnt have a microphone, it will look for connected devices with one, such as a soundbar or a connected bluetooth device. this gets shipped off to bixby.

Hi @zaphosting, I'm an existing customer with multiple Lifetime VPS servers, and I'd appreciate clarification regarding ZapX and the future of Lifetime purchases. I'm perfectly fine with migrating to ZapX. What I'm NOT fine with is being required to pay recurring fees for servers I've already purchased as Lifetime products. I manage my VPS servers independently using my own AI agents and tools, so I don't need additional paid management features. My questions are straightforward: Existing Lifetime VPS: Can you guarantee that my existing Lifetime servers will remain operational without any mandatory recurring fees, even if you migrate them to ZapX or eventually discontinue the legacy platform? Future Lifetime purchases: If I purchase additional Lifetime VPS servers, will they genuinely remain one-time purchases, or will I eventually be required to pay a recurring ZapX subscription or Pass simply to keep them running? Optional services: Can you confirm that any paid ZapX features will remain optional and that declining them will never prevent me from accessing, managing, or operating my Lifetime servers? For me, Lifetime means paying once for the server, not paying once and then having to subscribe to keep using it. If I wanted recurring fees, I would simply rent a VPS instead of paying upfront for a Lifetime product. I'm not against ZapX or platform improvements. I just want assurance that the original Lifetime business model and purchase commitment will be respected, both for existing servers and future purchases. I'd appreciate a clear, explicit answer to these questions. Thank you!

The future is Enterprise buying hardware in house or renting their own on the cloud to run open source models that are very capable, as capable as SOTA models, to use broadly at a much lower price tag. SOTA models will be used but for much more specific tasks due to their high cost.
