Amazing work!
Our study on visual processing during free movement is now out in Neuron, with additional data/analysis suggested by insightful reviewers.
An incredible effort, studying vision from the mouse's view, led by @CosmouseVision and @elliott_abe!

I'm looking for a few papers on diversity, equity and inclusion in research that would make for a good discussion among PhD students in a responsible conduct of research course. Suggestions?

Likewise! Fun project with @BlumenthalBarby. Thanks to @Duke_SSNAP and @GreenwallFdn for helping to forge this sort of neuroscience-ethics-philosophy collaboration!
Excited to have a chapter in here with @FelsenLab on neuroethics and optogenetics

Excited and proud to share my postdoc work out @nature today: go.nature.com/3pscOlX. It all started as a conversation on a balcony many years ago with @zmainen on the mysteries of olfaction and spatial cognition 👃🧠🚀

I've had a front row seat to this excellent work via Dylan's thesis committee. Great to see it in preprint form! Recommended reading.
Pleased to share our latest on how the cerebellum perfects movements. Props to my student Dylan Calame on his wonderful thesis work. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Great data
Until the pre-print posts, I figured I would put together a thread for those who want to see the data. Many thanks to @wilfredo_nk, @kstdenis29, @EvanCLam, @adamnitido, @NaranbhaiVivek who have been up at all hours of the night both at the bench and writing the paper!

New from @emily_a_largent, @_APeterson_ + me responding to @US_FDA's rationalization of #Aduhelm approval on grounds that patients are willing to try. Pt voices are critical, but don’t absolve FDA of its obligation to ensure drugs are effective + safe. 1/

Kudos to @CU_MSTP student Andy Tekriwal (et al.) for his @JNeurophysiol paper examining basal ganglia output in behaving hemiparkinsonian mice! We found that:
2- Which are accounted for by pathophysiological activity in the substantia nigra pars reticulata during movement preparation...
3- Which supports a "directional rate model" relating basal ganglia output to movement.
