Those thinking that on divorce, the Ante Nuptial Contract will protect their pensions and assets because accruals were excluded in the pre-marriage contract, please think twice.....it is no longer the case, sharing is compulsory. Do not be misled by lawyers who will eat your money and at the end, you loose the fight. Just share quickly and ignore the nonsensical pre-marriage contract. See below: The Constitutional Court has handed down milestone rulings that alter how assets and pensions are shared upon divorce, explicitly targeting cases where the accrual system was excluded. The two primary cases dealing with this are outlined below: 1. The Pension Interest Ruling (9 October 2026) In the landmark case of GD v Minister of Home Affairs and Others (Case CCT 60/25), the Constitutional Court declared Section 7(7)(c) of the Divorce Act unconstitutional and invalid. β€’ The Issue: Under the old provision, if a couple was married out of community of property without the accrual system after 1 November 1984, the economically weaker spouse could not claim a share of their partner's pension interest upon divorce. β€’ The Ruling: The Court found that this restriction amounted to unfair gender discrimination, as women often enter marriages poorer and forgo careers to raise families, leaving them financially vulnerable. β€’ The Impact: Judges now have the judicial discretion to include pension interests in asset redistribution, even if the couple's antenuptial contract (ANC) explicitly excluded the accrual system. It does not mandate an automatic 50/50 split, but gives judges the power to decide a fair distribution based on the duration of the marriage and contributions made. 2. The Blanket Asset Redistribution Ruling (October 2023) This recent pension case builds directly on a 2023 apex court ruling (EB v ER / KG v Minister of Home Affairs) which altered broader asset division. β€’ The Change: The Court struck down Section 7(3)(a) of the Divorce Act. It ruled that courts can override a signed ANC that excludes the accrual system to order a redistribution of general assets if a strict adherence to the contract would cause serious hardship and inequality. Ignore the above at your own peril....

MEDIA STATEMENT Issued 20 September 2026 CIDB DIRECTED TO INVESTIGATE GRADING ALLOCATIONS OF MORIAL INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, @DeanMacpherson , has noted with concern the allegations that Morial Infrastructure Group obtained multiple gradings from the Construction Industry Development Board (@cidb_sa ) all on the same day. Further allegations suggest that the company may not have met the requirements for these gradings, which may subsequently have been used to secure contracts from various spheres of government. The Minister has therefore directed the CIDB to immediately investigate the matter and report back to him at the earliest opportunity. DEVELOPING: Gauteng police have opened a case of intimidation against an alleged businessman, after he was seen threatening to kill an unconfirmed number of women, on a video that went viral on social media. The man, who has been identified as Lawrence Chamurwa Mudzingayima, threatened the women after they rejected his advances. It's understood the incident happened at a Sandton restaurant earlier this week when he followed them to the powder room. The suspect also claimed to be a wealthy man who could walk freely after killing the women. #KayaNews NPM

I think this is done deliberately to discourage service delivery to consumers, how else do you explain closing customer facing service centres? And making a customer wait for close to 2 hours @Eskom_SA @eskom

So @Eskom_SA closed all its customer service centers in GP and only left 3, Soweto, Vaal and somewhere else. No wonder they are reporting big profits, so everything is online even if you have an emergency? Wow! – at Sandton, South Africa

A government that relies on propaganda and relies on misinformation to drive a narrative manufactured by a few in our country. The US remains a clownish nation led by bigots! – at Sandton, South Africa
As @POTUS has made clear, the South African people are being failed by a government that is destroying its economy through an obsessive pursuit of racial grievance against the Afrikaner minority. The South African government has consistently failed to adequately address rural crime, violent and dehumanizing rhetoric, and race-based discriminatory policies against Afrikaners and other minority populations. Today, I’m announcing a new visa restriction policy targeting foreign nationals who enact or enable policies that promote race-based discrimination, incite violence, or enable land confiscation without compensation in South Africa. Those responsible for these injustices have no place in the United States. state.gov/releases/office-of…
