I welcome the Western Cape High Court’s order authorising the next steps in our court application concerning Knoflokskraal. This marks the first step in our efforts to restore the rule of law and address the unlawful occupation of this state land. The order allows us to serve and notify all affected parties, including through public notices and community announcements, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to engage with the legal process. We will not allow the illegal occupation of our land parcels to go unaddressed. We will pursue this matter through lawful, transparent and court-supervised processes to ensure that the rule of law prevails. Our application and supporting documentation can be found here: drive.google.com/drive/folde…

PURPOSE OF THE DAY | INFRASTRUCTURE FOR DIGNITY The handover of the Victim Support Rooms at Ndwedwe Police Station is about more than infrastructure. It is about creating a safe, confidential and dignified environment where survivors of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide can seek assistance without fear of judgement or humiliation. The initiative responds to the urgent need to strengthen support for survivors and ensure that when they find the courage to speak out, they are met with compassion, professionalism and action. As government intensifies efforts to combat GBVF, the message is clear: survivors deserve to be heard, supported and protected. Fighting GBVF is a collective responsibility that requires government, law enforcement, communities, businesses and men to work together towards a safer South Africa. You are not alone. You deserve dignity. Your voice matters. #EndGBVF #InfrastructureForDignity #VictimSupport #PublicWorks #SafeCommunities
