I want to tell you something:
@AlyssaM_InfoSec never intended to be a role model. She was just trying to make her way through the world. And she did both. Spectacularly.
@JackRhysider never meant to start a movement. He was just trying to make the type of podcast he himself would listen to.
@Jun34u_sec never set out to start a revolution around training and awareness. She was just hoping to get better at communicating with others.
@HackingDave never set out to be a role model, or a conference organizer, or an inspiration to over 100,000 people.
@InfoSecSherpa didn’t intend to become a role model and inspiration to those who live in the intersection of library science and infosec. As a matter of fact, that intersection didn’t even exist until she showed us that it should. And we owe her for that.
@jaysonstreet never meant to inspire people in over 45 countries to become better human beings. He was just just trying to survive. And to be kind.
@IanColdwater never strived to be a social media celebrity. They just wanted to hack shit. And they were so damm good at it that they became a social media celebrity.
@Blenster wasn’t trying to show us a better way to live. He was just showing us how he lives.
@medus4_cdc never intended to be part of the biggest communication revolution of the century. She was just trying to help her fellow hackers.
I could go on and on. But my point is this:
Whatever you are doing, do more of it. Because you might not just be breaking the rules. You might be rewriting them.
Hack the fucking planet.

I worked restaurant for almost 12 years. I worked in Qdoba, Chipotle, Chinese restaurant, retail, pizzeria, Italian restaurant.
A lot of people think that you need to know computers or be super smart.
That wasn't the case for me. I come from restaurant background not knowing about hardware such as memory, hard drives, cpu. I didn't know what a mouse is and I didn't understand operating systems. The only thing I knew about pcs is how to turn it on.
It was 2014 that had me make a decision to get into tech. I took a comptia a+ class and slowly started to understand operating systems, hardware, networking, etc. You don't need to be a genius to work IT. I'm an example of someone who came into IT with only having curiosity and willingness to learn.
I went from washing dishes to installing computers and repairing them.
I got my fundamentals from comptia a+ and I don't regret it. Mastering fundamentals is very important. You will never know everything.
I'm a student when it comes to working IT/Cyber-security. I'm always learning something new everyday.
Happy Saturday!
