A prototype integrating the mini-keyboard next to the SatMe smartphone.
Now I just need to put it in the radio bag with the two 817s and test it before building v2...
For now, at least it’ll keep the phone from falling 🤪
SatMe is finally available to everyone on the Google Store.
It’s not perfect "a bit of an over-complicated mess" but it suits my needs.
After the updates SatMe, a few satellite passes to confirm CAT operation with the dual FT-817s. Test successful 👍.
Interactive keyboard for logging during the pass 👍.
RX via SDR dongle controllable with a fine-tuning dial 👍. Lots of buttons 😉, but it's an all-in-one setup.
A short Oscarwatch article in the July/August 2026 issue of the REF (Réseau des Émetteurs Français) magazine 👍🛰️
Very good job Peter @mm9sql .
