Congrats on getting it all set up @M0GIW - here's to many more enjoyable sat passes :-)
I have Used SatPC-32 since 2009 and it has been great, upgraded to #oscarwatch yesterday, fantastic, TNX to @mm9sql
Not often you work @VE7PTN (CN89) & KK7MNC (CN87) on the same RS-44 satellite pass!
While OscarWatch has been hogging the posts, DXChrono Desktop has been out in the field this year with the Grampian Hilltoppers at special event stations.
Fresh update dropping next week: desktop.dxchrono.com
Made a short video on how to use OscarWatch FT4
youtube.com/watch?v=plgA8LKX…
My aim tomorrow is to put together a video showing how to use OscarWatch FT4, as I think new users will find it useful.
But first, I need some rest. 💤😴🛌
Just worked W7WXR in United States Of America 🇺🇸 (Gridsquare: EN16) on RS-44 🛰️ using FT4.
Which is a new grid for me

9600 Baud G3RUH sound modem added to OscarWatch Terminal, needs real-world testing but internally seems to be working well or as some hams would say.. its working good in the lab!
If you are having issues with the latest OscarWatch Tracker and with GS232 Clone hardware, it's because I added a check to make sure the interface was present, and they aren't liking it.
For now, roll back to the previous version

I am looking for anyone who's using OscarWatch with a Spid and the Rot2Prog controller in standard spid protocol to confirm its working.
If you are wondering about the motivation behind OscarWatch and its suite of tools.

I am so fed up with having to run so many external apps to just complete QSOs.. its coming in house
🤣😄

I downloaded the software last night about 20 minutes before an FO-29 pass. It took me about 5 minutes to setup the IC-9700 and the RT-21 Green Heron controller. How much easier than that could it be !?
Next is FT4 on RS-44. FO-29 is a no go for digital per AMSAT-JA.
Ok that's rather neat
13 cm DATV with just an Android phone and two cheap ESP32 boards, no PC 📡📺
ATV RX/TX is an open-source app:
📥 RX: an ESP32-S3 on USB OTG samples the 2.4 GHz band; leandvb on the phone demodulates DVB-S2 (QPSK/8PSK, 40–500 kS/s) and shows the picture, spectrum, constellation and MER
📤 TX: the ESP32-C3's own Wi-Fi radio is the transmitter. The phone encodes the camera or a test card to H.264 and DVB-S2 itself and streams the symbols to the C3
📌 Stand-alone beacon: record a loop with your callsign on the phone and store it in the C3; it then transmits by itself after every power-up
🔧 Firmware for both boards is flashed straight from the app
Based on SP8ESA's ESP32-DATV and TA7W's ESP32-DATV-SA. Thanks!
