“VAR made their recommendation to the referee based on slow-motion and still replays, which is not aligned with VAR protocols, as these should be used for only point-of-contact purposes in a red card tackle situation.”
VAR didn’t follow protocols yet Balogun was still sent off?

@andydaviesref believes VAR made the incorrect decision on Folarin Balogun's red card.

Messi doesn’t get the red for a clear studs up tackle, but Balogun does for a clearly unintentional tackle.
Dzeko didn’t even get a yellow for a blindside body check on Adams’s head, but Balogun gets this red.
Unbelievable.

The only school in the Big 12 that has knowingly fielded a player who has bet on his own team is Cincinnati.

Wait until I tell you that United can get away with it because of who was voted in as President.

I thought that Wemby elbow was clearly inadvertent and had no business being a flagrant.
But he obviously deserved one for the Brunson push in G3 so I guess it’s a wash.
Wemby in dangerous territory for the rest of the series. Going to have to be very careful.
Shoves Castle and dives into Wemby’s knee but it’s #crickets from that side
I watched Brunson literally head butt Nembhard with zero consequences so spare me the complaints

What wild 24 hours. Here are 3⃣ misconceptions/misinformation I'm seeing regarding the Brendan Sorsby case:
1. He bet on games he played in.
He did NOT bet on any games he suited up for.
While not great he bet on games while redshirting, he never bet on a game he suit up in.
2. The Judge in this case is from Lubbock.
Ken Curry is a retired Tarrant County (Fort Worth) judge that graduated from Houston and UT-Arlington. He is currently eligible to practice law and his practice is listed in Colleyville, TX (over 300 miles from Lubbock).
3. Texas Tech did something wrong.
He made all of his bets before taking a snap at Texas Tech. Cincinnati was alerted to his potential gambling activity (per ESPN).
Texas Tech declared him ineligible and will now follow the temporary injunction (like the rest of the NCAA).

Jim Harbough cheated himself to a national championship and Michigan self suspended himself vs ECU, UNLV, and Bowling Green and everyone still played them
"Effective immediately, no new contests should be scheduled against Texas Tech without prior approval from the athletic department," Georgia AD to staff, per @PeteThamel and @max_olson.

Baylor had 250+ cases of sexual assault reported of local women and the local Waco PD helped them cover it up but there were so many cases that it took the NCAA too long to investigate it that they had ZERO NCAA punishment. But THIS is where Georgia’s AD draws the line

Hey look! Someone still believes Kawhi's tall tales. The Spurs diganosed him correctly (chronic knee condition); it was all a ploy by him and Uncle Dennis to get back to CA. I'm also willing to bet he asked for impermissible benefits from the Spurs, just like he did TOR and LAC.
Last thing I’m discussing on the topic for anyone who needs it explained clearly:
Regarding the hard fouls:
The argument is that because Hart yanked Castles hair and neck (no foul was called) and Chet stomped Wembys foot (no foul was called) and because Hart two hand yanked Wembys arm and shoulder numerous times (no fouls were called) when he was going for rebounds and blocks all BEFORE any of the stuff you’re referencing Spurs did (Plumlee shot to McCain, Carter running into SGA) - that spurs had enough.
That if Okc was going to keep doing this AND the refs weren’t even going to protect them via calling the fouls on the obvious dirty stuff (all on video, all captured without a doubt) that in sports it’s common to fight back and send a message that if you continue to do these things (which is fine imo - it’s playoff basketball and as long as you aren’t injuring people a little dirty is expected) that we are more than capable of looking for our opportunities to do it back and we don’t want to hear any crying when it happens.
So before you yank our hair, elbow our throat area, yank our arms and shoulders repeatedly and stomp our feet? Think twice because you’re not going to like what happens back to you and you will not punk us and get away with it.
