With two assists in @CharlotteFC 's 3-2 win against FC Dallas, Pep Biel reached 51 goal contributions for Charlotte, becoming the first player in club history to reach the 50-goal contribution mark.

Aloko completely changed that game for us. What a gem we have found, just electric. An absolute nightmare for opposing sides.

That was such a massive result for so many reasons. Incredible resilience and mentality to come back to win that game against a top seed in MLS. Our record against the better sides is shaky, so this was a huge win for table position and confidence.

This is exactly what Luca De La Torre was brought in and paid $1.6 million to do… Concerning that Dean is highlighting that area as an area that needs improvement.
Brian Maurer@BAMaurerMediaOct 8
Dean mentioned that the player in on trial is not upto match fitness. If they do end up signing him, the purpose is to have him help in the short term to finish out this season. Smith said he feels he can help connect midfield and forward line. 👇

Let's clear this up: Mexico 🇲🇽 was missing Raul, Quinones, Mora, Montes & Alvarez. The US 🇺🇸 was missing Balogun, McKennie, Pulisic, Pepi, Weah & Johnny. Both teams were missing players. The difference is, we have depth. They don't.

A couple notes from this piece: Charlotte FC has int'l spot and should be flush on GAM so money or int'l status not an issue as long as salary is at Max-TAM or less (~$1.8m for full season). They can also put Goodwin on Season Ending Injury List to open additional space 👇

Really unfortunate for Archie. Smalls will likely be the main backup at striker with this injury.

Speaking to us here in Orlando, USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino has some rare praise for MLS — specifically the MLS coaches who have worked with all of the newcomers in today's match.

Inexcusable loss tonight.

Yes #CLTFC was short handed but we had Maxi and Biel. Chicago was missing Lewandowski and 7 total first team players. Refs, international break are all "excuses" when frankly CLT was really poor.

Spot on assessment from Dean overall. It’s undeniable the ref was bad, but it feels so much worse when you can’t generate a shot on target until the 85th minute.
Carroll R. Walton@CarrollRogersSep 27
Dean Smith has lots to say. In a nutshell tho: CLT didn’t play with tempo first half. Maxi and Pep didn’t play their best. VAR missed a handball on CHI goal. Wanted the penalty for pep. Thot VAR missed two calls in first half. Thot ref was “giving out yellows like confetti”
